In this video I completely overhaul the steering system on my 1995 GMC Suburban K1500 GMT400. This truck only has about 87k original miles and the entire steering system is original. I decided however, even though the mileage is low, the trucks steering components are relatively old and need replacing. Not only that, the products I chose for this steering system overhaul are top of the line products!
This overhaul includes the 'RedHead Steering Gears' steering gearbox as well as Kryptonite products center link, pitman arm and tie rods. I also replaced the original idler arm and bracket with a brand new unit from ACDelco.
