One thing I've heard about the 6 hundreds and 7 hundreds is they have a AC running CDI and they have had a lot of problems with it. People have switched it to ADC style. Which is the norm and away? Went those problems, just a thought.
I'm aware of that. I stayed away from 6 and 700s for years because of the Ducati electrical systems Polaris installed. I have seen the conversation. Always wanted to try it.
Could you do a detailed video of the fuel pump ( how it should work) and adjusting the pilot valve correctly on a Sportsman 700.? Please, I am struggling to get my 04 sportsman 700 ( carburetor) adjusted correctly. Thank you, sir
The pulse pump has a diaphragm in it. I hook a hose to the port labeled P. Then I suck in and blow out in the hose to see if diaphragm is moving in and out. If it doesn't. Replace it. The 700 carbs can be tricky. If they are not cleaned or dipped you will have issues. I messed with one carb for a week. Cleaned it 3 times, rebuilt it. It still wouldn't work. I found another carb and put it on. It ran good then.
@@TitaniummanGarage Thank you so much. I have tried to buy all parts from Amazon for this machine. I am not sure if that’s the way to go, but I can’t afford to spend 500 on just a carburetor. And that’s what Partzilla is asking for one. These fuel pumps are relatively inexpensive but this is my second one since owning the sportsman. When the atv is completely off and you pull the main fuel line going to the carburetor, the gas just pours out and doesn’t stop. I don’t know of any fuel pump that works that way. Seems when the machine is off, there should be gas left n the line but not a constant continuous flow??
Also, is the (p) line supposed to go to the port on the carburetor ( right hand side of machine) ? My ( P) line appears to be coming out of the top of the motor. ?? And sir, if you have cash app or Zelle, I will send you some cash for the information you provide. Just your knowledge of these Polaris’s have been a great help to me. I can’t afford to take mine to a shop so I work on it myself
@@chadwilliamson-cn6wn your fuel shutoff is probably leaking. I've already had ones with good fuel pumps do that. Once the flow has started it will pour out like a siphon hose works.
Nice! Man, that 700 is super clean!!
Atta boy! Good job!
I have the same one. Is that where the winch is supposed to go?

My goal is to find a yellow 700 twin that’s my favorite ATV

@@chadwilliamson-cn6wn on the 6 and 700s that is correct. Vacuum from the engine drives the pulse pump
