After experiencing every Rolex to be experienced, I have come FULL circle and have acknowledged this just might represent the very best Rolex in the catalogue. No gimmick turning bezels, maxi case supersized bezels overpriced hard to get nonsense. This Datejust with the Blue dial may very well be the watch the Blue Steel Sky Dweller never was. It is everything the SkyDweller Oreo diet could never deliver. That electric blue dial and sleek compact case delivers silk on the wrist, I like it even more on the oyster bracelet. Grab it now, before this doubles too, it’s already moving that direction now that the secret is out!
I'm exactly the same. I've owned pretty much every sport Rolex in the catalogue but I recently gave in and bought this exact configuration (steel/white gold, jubilee, fluted with blue stick dial) and it is everything a good watch should be. I pretty much just wear my Explorer II Polar and this all the time now. Everything else stays in the bank.
It actually measures 39.5mm, so it will work for those with average or below average wrists. It wears smaller with the thin jubilee bracelet as well. Perfection.
I have one and the white gold fluted bezel along with the polished links on the bracelet (I have the Oyster bracelet) give it a great shine, almost like gems. I'm older now and not really into buss down watches and the fluted bezel gives it all the shine it needs. Great with anything blue 💙! Thanks Tim.
I don't care for any timing standards that include the work "minus". No watch movement should EVER run slow. It's easy to slow down for real time. But catching up to it, that's a mission only the Flash can achieve :-(

I love this watch, I’m in the market currently but I think I’ve got a better chance finding a real life unicorn than getting one. And hints or tips would be much appreciated
Hi John - Pre-owned is the only way to guarantee availability these days. Feel free to give us a call and seeing when we have a blue dial coming available, or visit here for the latest inventory: www.thewatchbox.com/search/?q=126334
What’s your wrist size? Mine is 7.1” and I’m on the fence between the two sizes. I’ve tried both on at my AD. The 36 felt a smidge bit small. I do know the case on the 41 is technically 39.8mm
@@savagepapi8071 that isn’t true..... I’d agree with regards to two-tone models as they are more readily available in two-tone but not SS. I actually enquired at my AD recently via email and they told me I had to register my interest for a SS Wimbledon dial. Entry level they may be but they certainly aren’t in the window anymore.
Big fan of the content of your channel Tim. I've read your amazing 4 part article from 2019 on Quill and Pad, the golden age of Rolex movements, and it looks like Rolex will continue to dominate the luxury watch market for years and years to come.
Any advice on DJ41 vs DJ36 for a 6.5” wrist? My Dad has a DJ36 from the 1960’s that he keeps telling me will be mine someday, so if I want my own, buy a modern DJ41 now to have some differentiation from his. But I’m torn and unfortunately at 6.5”, both the 41 and 36 can be worn and look good. Any words of wisdom? Many thanks!
You can recommend it for a 13.5cm wrist? Are you for real??? You do great reviews but obviously your recommendations re wearability are just crazy. This watch barely fits your 16cm wrist. No way it would fit on a 13.5cm one. I mean, everyone can wear any watch, but if you really need to give recommendations at least be real…
i hate this bracelet ,,juibilee bracelet they call it.... main watch is already juibilee ,we dont want tons of jubilee,we want oyster bracelet, this jubilee bracelet makes a decent warch look over girlish and stupid ..
Rolex .... Mass produced junk from Geneva .... Up until quite recently, even their movements were made by someone else .... The clasp and where the strap locates to the watch, very rough and second rate .... They use pins which are a cheaper option, rather than screws ... . My Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore QEII Cup (2016 Hong Kong), in Pink Gold and Forged Carbon is far more superior .... And it's hand made ....
This watch would have been great in the 60’s 😂😂 What an outdated watch. Looks like something my grandfather would wear. And that rediculous cyclops 😆 And to think that that outdated detail is on almost every single Rolex... it’s time they update their line-up. What if Mercedes would still make cars from the 80’s! Nobody would buy them now. It’s a shame Rolex makes money this easy! Never been a fan.
Despite all the horse shit that you typed, Rolex by itself owns 23.4 % of the luxury watch market. That's 16% ahead of the second Omega which owns only 9 %. All this, is causing a severe itch in your butthole and you can't figure out how to scratch it.
The Rolex is one thing. But, the way you described the watch inside out is on another level. 👌🏼
Literally

perfect bracelet and bezel combination. Lovely everyday watch
Favorite of mine in the Rolex catalogue. Can't do no wrong with the blue dial Datejust 41
How much does it weigh in grams?
Just entered a competition for one of these. Beautiful watch.
Amazing review. Thank you. This watch will be my 10 year ann. gift for me.

Great review. I am sold, this will be my next Rolex!
Mine is black dial and yosterband.. so beautifull !
The classic mens watch .
Own this watch. Love it.

With the steel sports watches so hard to get hold of this model is becoming the perfect surrogate.
Not particularly easy to get these I don’t believe!
@@Lewissssss yep if it’s Rolex it’s in demand
I believe these are allocation pieces as well so no luck of one being in the case of an AD.
Datejusts are entry level models available everywhere.

Great video!
Wow. Great review..
awesome review
I think that the date wheel jars with the dial and that the dial colour will date the watch in the future - still prefer the white dial.
How much does it weigh?
9300 or 9700 in 2017 after taxes. Walked in walked out. Apparently you can’t do that nowadays. One of the dumbest things I ever did was sell mine
WOW i love this watch!!!
It’s nice but a bit too simple.
Fluted or not fluted at 41mm that is the question..
Depend of ur wrist
At a local a/d dealer I was offered this watch for 15.5k is it worth it
Very nice piece 👌
I have the 39mm version of the Datejust, it's the only Rolex I own, cause it was a gift. This is the only Rolex design I like
Lmao there’s no 39mm datejust
@@Utoob8 yes there. The pearlmaster 39
@@Hamza23792 It’s a completely separate line though

I own that watch best Rollie under 12k!
Haha, wish it was still under 12k
@@rainbowtractor haha good point! I got lucky bought mine at retail in 2020 but now cant even find one at the ADs

Got it in 2019 for 10k. Now is probably 13k
Stunning 💎💎💎
is the exact same one but with diamond configuration also considered a classic or considered less desirable? My AD offered me one..havent seen it yet.
No its still a classic, and factory diamonds are usually never undesirable, its just the crap aftermarket diamonds that lower a watch’s value
Very nice, but damn you need some moisturizer on your hands, that’s like sandpaper touching that watch! Lol
Is the Jubilee Bracelet too dressy to be my every day watch?
Definitely not, i wore it daily for about 2 years now, and not for once have i thought it was too formal for anything
The jubilee is the bracelet of choice for the Datejust.
I bought mine in November 2017 and don't have the crown inbetween "Swiss" and "Made" 🙂
Bro can you atleast clean the crystal it's so off putting
One day i will have it
Beautiful
You are amazing dude 👍👍👍
Why is this watch priced over retail? It's a datejust.
Go try to buy one at an AD, and ask what the wait is like for the blue dial, fluted bezel on Jubilee. Good luck.
@@Ohmie I got mine in a week
If you have any kind of previous buy history with your AD it’s only a 2 - 4 week wait, if it’s your first buy it’s going to be around 6 months
Nothing wrong with a datejust, it's the classic timeless Rolex.
@@madeincyprus First buy, I waited 8 months.

Go to Rolex’s website and see.
box serial number?
