I have these speakers paired with JBL L7 speakers as two pairs connected to Sony TA-DA 9000 ES as the power amp and Onkyo TX - Nr 828 as a pre amp and those four front speakers are amazing when combined and they are very powerful. The L7s have side firing 12 inch woofers but these CF 150s have 15 inch woofers and they are even more powerful than the L7s. However, you need a very powerful amplifier to reach full potential of these speakers. My Sony is powerful and it can Handle 11 speakers at the same time. it weighs around 30 kilos. It can handle 7 speakers with 200 watts rms. That's very powerful for a receiver. Even Yamaha Rxa 3060 handles lower power for each speaker. Anyway, it doesn't have any hdmi outputs and that's why I kept my Onkyo. Overall sound quality can be with more clarity with Sony than Onkyo even though Onkyo was made in 2013 while Sony was made in 2004. Fortunately, I was able buy all the speakers and amplifiers in almost brand-new condition, especially the CF 150. Their treble and bass can be amazing if you can connect them to a powerful amplifier.
Iv owned 3 pairs of these amazing speakers, i wish i kept them all, i kept getting complaints from the neighbours so i down sized, hopefully one day i will find another pair
Had a set of stands made for mine, incorporated feet to tilt the speakers so the tweeter points towards my ears. Great all round speaker. Very efficient.
