We started with vinyl and tube amps; home made speakers to high end specs. This quality is like a breath of fresh air in a heavily polluted environment. Don't give up. Even on my budget Wharfedale Diamond 10.0 shelf speakers it sounds like paradise. My ears are starting to relax again. Not all is lost in this digital age.
Yes, it's better, I listen with my SENNHEISER HD 201 and it's perfection, even youtube quality is around 224-256kbps. It's by far better than Taylor's Swift and Billie Eilish albums that they have very hard bass, distortion, flat waveform, closed dry sound and the highs barely can be listened. Even on vinyls of some new commercial releases, that they are very expensive and one friend of mine, listen these from his 5500euros turntable/audio system, sound is so artificial and distorts.

OPUS is really great lossy compression. but it's not remotely as good as lossless formats in terms of audio quality.
technically mp3 is 64bit with variable bit depth but even if the upload was true the issue here is end user, most are 16-bit pre configured sound. UA-cam needs a lossless flac option
