- We take the fully electric Volvo XC40 Recharge Twin out to the mountains to check out how the electric SUV will fare on our favorite hillclimb.
Watch the video and see how 408 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque with drive to all wheels performs. - Авто та транспорт
i watched the video and could not imagine the speed Uncle was driving .... great video !
I just took delivery on a XC40 Recharge P8 last week. It's become my favorite car ever. What a pleasure to drive and fun too! As evidenced in your spirited approach! Thanks for the fun watch.
Great driving as usual!
Thank you.
Greetings from Finland,nice video. Thanks
Thank you too!
This is one of the videos which influenced me into getting this car. Saw how YS enjoyed going up Genting and I can say so far, the car doesn't disappoint. From its manic power and torque to the comfort of a volvo, there's no regrets so far. Only thing I wished for was more range but then when I upgrade in future to another EV, maybe we'll have battery technologies that are leaps and bound better.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The moment you mentioned "no overtaking ! " I was thinking "oh really ?" After saying that you overtook Michael . You scared a shit out of grand newphew.
Great driving Mr YSK... Volvo my dream car. My Brother Driven Volvo 940 GL LIMO before. Really a superb car.
Nice 👍
great driving, but your co passenger look so serious 🤣
So much fun to drive Electric car. That's why i love ev
Despite the car weight, it is able to handle the Genting corners well!
It was awesome driving experience Mr YS👍🏻
Thank you. Always my pleasure, hahaha, to drive!!!
love it as always... 🤞
Thanks again!
Victor's face turned green as the car went crossing the lane and cornering at high speed. Ha ha😂
Great driving video as always, but I find it interesting and hilarious that uncle Khong would say "thank you" to the cars who gives way eventually for overtaking, but there is no way that driver would actually know about Uncle Khong's gratitude being verbalized =)
Yes there is - when they watch the video. And saying thank you puts you in a positive frame of mind, and keeps you calm, and sane🤗
They will be wondering who's the YOUNG DRIVER behind the different2 fast cars overtaking in every uphill corners in Genting until they watch this video, then the rest of the videos will be the drugs to keep them asses flat, watching until their legs shaking...🤪
Nice car
Superb driving uncle.. nathan terkangkang dekat belakang.
Hahaha.
Mr. Khong Sir - I don't know if Volvo XC40 is strongly built or not but your grand nephew is a hell lot a strong fellow. He didn't shake an iota bit while you were approaching sharp corners as if these corners does not exist.
Hahaha, he is a strong boy, able to brace himself well.
Uncle Khong, your grand nephew looks really stressed out while you are driving. =)
Hahaha, it's his first time.
What was the state of charge before and after arriving at the top? And how much did you manage to regen when going down?
We ended up wth around 50+ percent I think, and it cost like nothing to get down to Gombak. Was down to about 37 when we got to the recharge station on PJ.
next video please test the power of Hyundai Ioniq 5 max Uncle
With so much torque i would imagine having gears would add weight but extend distance no?
So far only the Taycan has a 2 speed box. You are right - it can go faster with another step up gesr.
1st - 4:57
2nd - 4:52
Are. u use one pedal drive or normal drive? nice driver! ^^
Normal. 1 pedal wont work at high speeds
The dude sitting in front looks like he peed his pants. Just kidding 😂
The BMW like off the engine 😂🤣
Yes, I think he had some issues. He stopped after another 400m
Well, I am Nathan..
But people tend to call me Nethen....
Depends on where you are and who is talking to you...
Problem with EV cars that have so much power is that, compared with combustion engines, it does not have engine braking that is managed by down shifting of the gears when going into the corners. It's all about braking and lifting off the foot from the electric power pedal.
True, so they need huge brakes. There is also motor braking, if you turn up the regen rate.
@@YSKhongDriving Right, I forgot about the regen rate. However, it is still not quite the same as the combustion engine. I was driving electric go-karts and although not quite the same category as the high performance EV, it was still pretty fast. And you really quickly realize that it is mostly dependent on your braking finesse and how good your brakes are. I honestly think that the suspension set up for electric cars that have like > 300HP , should all reach the level of supercars. High power is one thing, what is more important is the accompanying capability of a suspension set up to handle all that power.
@@anthonyboey3210 Actually, if you turned on 1 Pedal drive, the braking effect from lifting the accelerator is almost akin to braking manually. Tried it on my trip down Genting, I barely had to press the brakes ... also the regen actually increased the battery power by 2% when we reached down the foothill.
I want to be a victim too! 🤪
2 corners and the BMW disappears from sight
He had a burnt plug.
You’re not uncle your a race car driver aged 21 years
Hahaha.
uncle be playing rally simulator.
ev = emotionless.no drama no nothing.
i would even say playing goat simulator have more drama than driving ev
Hahaha, but the speed is real
@@YSKhongDriving true.none can compare the low speed drivability and high performance nature.
But man.the vehicle weight and suspension tuning, also the range anxiety.i cant say when im gonna be prepared for Ev for real.(owned a PHEV and electric scooter)
