This intimate little show is like watching a bar band playing.
This is my absolute favorite ACDC gig to watch. Hands down.
It was nice to see how professional they are, I saw the same kind of respect that little Mountain Sound when they're recording Razor's Edge there
Wow! Superstitious sounds amazing!!! What a rarity right there, loved that and have never seen it before.
I’ve been playing drums for 30 years. I love playing a funky, groovy Steve Gadd lick or a Zigaboo Modeliste funky groove as much as anyone. I have spent hours learning those grooves, every shuffle you can imagine and upping my fills game…but there is something VERY satisfying about throwing on an AC/DC record and locking in with Phil and just playing hard, driving rock and roll. It’s okay to admire, respect and appreciate both. This is one of the 5 best rhythm sections in the history of rock music, period.
second that
AGREE!
Especially seeing them live, when those three get locked in, it's a sight to behold. The rhythm section is just cookin'!!
Agree The human metranome!!
Yawn
First time seeing this. I'm only a couple of minutes in and already I love it! Just a phenomenal band, especially live, who groove like nobody's business. One of the best live bands ever! Thanks for the upload.
that snare sound so good
What a tasty treat!! ❤❤❤❤ Rehearsal are just a raw jam session.
The Best at their Best. Killer everything! Prime ACDC thanks for posting!
Prime!!! You never saw Bon. THAT WAS PRIME!!!
I've heard enough about bon. He was a druggie. Brian is more hardworking with the stronger voice @@FYMASMD
@@joelok700But who wrote most of their best songs?
Even in rehearsal they are so tight and on song
A pure powerhouse. Excellent.
i have seen snibets of this but..... THANK YOU! what i am watching is history. rock and roll history. blues history, music history. the effort that acdc put into this speaks highly upon themselves. rip Bon and Malcolm!!!!!!! acdc were, are, and will always be legends.
You meant to write "snippets" didn't you, Mate?
Blues on10. Rockin
Always a pleasure to listen to this rehearsal! Thanks !
Спасибо! AC DC Forever
Raw power!! Just Greatest!! Malcolm forever!!!
Gone shooting is the best tune-age!
Great to see man! Thank you so much!
Amazing! SO GREAT! A JEWEL! THANKS!🙏❤
I've met Brian a couple times behind his house on a boat. His dock has lights and snook hang out under it. My friend cut his grass and knows him and twice we chatted with Brian while he was on the dock. We drank tequila with him one if those times, out of his jug. My buddy probably still has the empty bottle. Brian is a nice guy and he's been great in the local music and charity scene around Sarasota FL.
I’m a huge AC/DC fan and I’ve heard that he’s so down to earth
Great Rhythm and sound.
Nice job thanks!
wow..great upload
Wow...
Seeing your performances on UA-cam I really like and happy makes me excited Success always for you 🙏🙏👍👍❤️❤️❤️🇲🇨
Thank you!
Please everybody let's give credit to the bass player👍😎
Amen! He really locks on it!
Thanks !!!
The very best music has to offer- Derek Deel loves acdc may they rock FOREVER

Malcolm is the master!
Don't forget Angus, Phil and cliff, Brian,Bon
Ballin. Thats what ger when u jam every day or 2 and know each other. It's like 3rd nature they say. Love ❤️ rock n roll!
I see acdc live in 1996 .i was 13 ...blew my mind...energy level was something else...saw them in 2010 also great but that ballbreaker period they was tight as ..best band ive ever seen .angus was a machine...long live acdc my fav band
Yeah I saw them 5x with Bon Scott. Once with the other guy. Bon was the best. The other guy sounds like Donald Duck with a sore throat. Pass. Too bad you didn’t see Bon. No one compared to him.
@@FYMASMD yeah 5 times ..I very much dought it....I personally think you have never seen them and you just talk crap ..how about that
@@FYMASMD why ya call him the other guy....why the brian hatred..I don't get it..... he didn't kill bon.......you haters act like children.... why the hate.....I prefer the bon period...who doesn't...but I'm still happy to have acdc doing ..back in black...for those about to rock...razors edge....etc.... they are still great albums..... and a great band with Brian....and if you knew anything about singing...the brian songs are prob harder to sing than the bon songs... it ain't easy...give it a go...I'd love to see your efforts..... are you on UA-cam....do you play or sing..... prove how good you are and then ill take you seriously ...if not ..well your just another Internet hater....and no one likes those kinds of people ...why go to a brian video just to hate..some advice.....get a life
@@Stewartchampion some folks choose the oddest hills to die upon. Bon and Brian, Roth and Hagar, Tate and La Torre.
You consciously choose to deny yourself great music, awesome messages, and DAMN GOOD live shows because "Your Favorite Band Member" has fucked off to other bands or planes of existence?
For example - I have been a guitar player for 35+ years. Little Fat Shit Joey saw Ace Frehley on a big, bulbous glass TV tube and he knew that was it. That's where it was at. Now let's be honest here, Ace is not at the top of the food chain when it comes to Amazing guitarists. But that led me into looking into other Rock and Metal bands - Ac/Dc (we will come back to them) Metallica, Slayer, etc...
Frehley's Comet was a great project! Which subsequently introduced me to Bruce Kulick. Then his brother Bob played on some earlier stuff. Then that weirdo Vinnie Vincent - on to Slaughter, on to and on to and on to....
Shutting myself off of KISS after Ace left would have stagnated me. Would I have discovered AC/DC as young as I did if didn't keep looking?
Malcolm Young is my single biggest influence when it comes to playing. His feel, sense of structure, timing, and just kick ass playing has cemented itself in my hands.
But he's gone now. He died not even being able to remember what great work he did in this world. And who did they DARE replace the great Malcom Young with!?! That piss-ant Uncle Stevie!?! Who did they replace Brian with for one tour? That cunt of a dirtbag human being Axehole Rose? Pssshh... Duck these guys, am I right? How dare they keep going. How dare they keep the dream alive. How dare they honor Malcom's memory and acknowledge his accomplishments every God damn show.
You'd have to be a fuckin' moron to want to see them or even acknowledge them now.
Gatekeepers. Keepers of a lost era, stuck grandstanding for someone they never even friggin met. Bon Scott didn't know this dude. He didn't know Bon. He just has an opinion and an affinity for him. He also has the inability to accept any sort of change and his defence mechanism for coping with that is insult and mock a vocalist that is wholly original, a literal Icon in the music world. He thinks it is of some merit that once again, ANOTHER person he has never met and has ZERO personal interactions with and is going to be affected in some way or somehow by his shitty attitude and character flaws.
His Daffy Duck comment really shines a light on Brian's singing voice. Well, Daffy has sold MILLIONS of albums and has used that very same voice to scream at MILLIONS AND MILLIONS of people.
What has our friend been able to accomplish? Not much. He can't. No time. Someone has to guard the gate.
This video shows a lot of their rehearsals of how serious Angus was and Malcolm. And the ac DC bros.
Thanks obrigado!
Rock n roll jamming period. And tight. Ha yep work pays off.
Lots of Bon songs, nice!
This is fucking awesome
Watching this all I think about is Jim Breuer and hokey pokey 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Aye, that one was brilliant 😹
this is awesome shit bro. yes i love this video watch this many time. play with my Guitar together at the same time...
Impresionante
Wau!! Thanks!!
Well this was fun.....
Cool!🙂
i seen them twice they rock ac dc who ha stevo
They played Madrid, Spain the day before and next day went to Lisbon, Portugal
Its harder then it looks
And after Lisbon three days in Madrid where they recorded the "No Bulls" video. Its not that they are couch potatoes, lol
This is a really cool video. I always kind of hated that AC/DC setlist was the same day to day. After seeing them rehearse I can see why, it is a well oiled machine.
Que show
😍😍😍😍😍😍🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏thanks🙏🙏🙏
Oh wow...I was working in Camden at the time and saw the flightcases on my way to work. Must have walked past the studio 20 times that day hoping to meet one of the lads! Got to work with Beano 20 years later and he took great pleasure in recounting some awesome stories of that day...including how nervous he was!
Brian was struggling with Bon's songs 30 years ago!! RIP Bon. The One and Only!!
Bon passed away over 40 years ago. Ac/Dc moved on. You should as well
So weird to see Malcolm basically standing still while playing.
Treeeeeemeeeeeendooooooooo.
I need MORE VOLUME !!
Cracks me up he's wearing the schoolboy uniform during rehearsal for the VH1 cameras.
Why? They film the footage proper later that day. Angus clearly couldn’t be fucked getting changed twice.
Espectacular!!!

Amazing stuff. I'm a massive fan, but to see them play cool stuff from albums like Powerage (one of the most underrated albums of all time) in rehearsal and clearly enjoy it, and never actually play any of their maybe 100+ super cool non-single songs live, for decades, is highly problematic and disappointing. AC/DC fans (true fans) of whom their are hundreds of millions, still stuck by them, and still bought tickets and made them rich, and still enjoyed their gigs (me included), but they just played the same 20 or so songs, for like 40 years, with maybe 2 each tour from the new album of the day. I've seen Brian try to explain it, even get angry when people raise it, saying they were just playing what people wanted to hear. But he is wrong. AC/DC were better than that, way better, but they didn't back themselves. Imagine an AC/DC with the balls to play "Love Song", "Soul Stripper", "Live Wire", "Rock'n'Roll Singer", "Squealer", "Ride On", "Overdose", "Kicked in the Teeth", "Touch Too Much", "Night Prowler", "Let Me Put My Love into You", "Evil Walks", "Nervous Shakedown", "Back in Business", "Chase the Ace", "Nick of Time", "Two's Up", "The Razors Edge", just to name a few out of their astounding amount of awesome songs? But alas they never did, and never will. Which is really the only thing holding them back from "one of" the best rock'n'roll bands ever, and being "the best" rock'n'roll band ever. I still love them, but they were an opportunity lost, live, post Bon.
Yes
99% of the rock bands play the same set for deacades...judas, motorhead, metallica (until a few yeas ago), saxon, accept, scorpions,...it's juste easy and safe for them and the audience
What program do you use?
fuck they are so 'tight' at 36:00
Hey When Your Gonna Upload Again
seen this sound guy the other day working at wendys
i don't quite fully love acdc unless phil is on the drums.
Phil Rudd is not the best technically speaking but ... he keeps good, solid time.
@@SuiGenerisAbbie That is an annoying thing to say. He is perfect for AC/DC.
@@SuiGenerisAbbieWhat does that actually mean, though? Compared to what? There really is no such thing. You are agreeing to the conceit that odd time signatures or funky grooves or wild fills are somehow naturally or automatically an aspext of playing the very new and made up modern invention: the jazz trap kit drum set. Like the bass guitar, there is actually no history whatsoever for this instrument outside of modern experiments. You don't know how drum kits are "supposed" to be played.
No one does.
Personally I think most that kind of playing is stupid in most instances and the only guys who ever got it right in the mainstream of popular music were the handful of guys that everyone has always talked about and frankly they all suck big time ( except a few like Mitch Mitchell, Stewart Copeland, Kieth Moon, John Bonham) in those regards when compared to the least capable basic jazz and symphonic players. It's like saying someone sucks at bass because they dont specifically do slap and pop bass (yuck!) AC/DC is pretty well the polar opposite of that all around and it would be absurd and strange to have some ham of a drummer trying to get attention back there, fuck that to hell. It's like saying Charlie Watts "keeps time" dude, Charlie Watts smokes your generations with his enormous murderous cock is what he does and so does Phil Rud, goddamnit. If AD/DC sounded like that they would lose their actual value as an original act and I wouldn't listen to them. This is a great case to show how that works as Rudds tone and feel complimented this band so well his absence was even greater a loss than the main songwriter and front and voice of the band even! I mean, it's not the same without Bon, but honestly I can't really pay attention to the albums without the Phill sound. I can watch them live because they are always a show, but it's not that savage wall of hell they used to be, not even close. It shows how important the drum sound is no matter what the techniques, exact opposite of the virtuouso idea. If playing that way really was objectivly meaningful why is there a comment lamenting Phill Rudd on every fucking video? The new guy has what one might call objectivly greater skill, why is it so awkward sounding like they got a tasteless drum machine? Why does he stick out in the mix like he does? He's "better" so whats the problem? Ten million AC/DC fanatics can't all be wrong. The perfumed ring and silk shirt wearing "musician" dudes are a "type" not the rule, like they imagine, anyone who knows this band is what they're up against. The ratio tells the tale well enough.
Phil Rudd was a legendary rock and roll drummer. He requires no apologies.
The drum solo was the universal bathroom break historically, seriously, people who think like this may want to rethink their paradigm.
@@chuckufarlie8215 I play drums actually. Your last sentence is incorrect.
@@SuiGenerisAbbie Well, I play guitar, drums, synth, bass, saxophone, and hard to get but the last sentence was kinda famously true in the past, maybe not for masters such as yourself, but when casual audiences existed it was. I admit drums are often seen differently these days. But then again, most people don't even like guitar solos that much. Anyway, it's clearly your drummer-ness holding you back, brother. I hear they've got some night courses over at the community college that might help clear that up for ya.
But seriously, the drummer is the band, and all bands sounding like Steely Dan is a mistake. That's all I mean. I was having my coffee when I wrote that and waking up. I get all hoped up on my apple sauce sometimes, sorry about that. Your comment in no way deserved all that obviously. I just get defensive about drummers and bass players. I'm more guitar/keyboard but my cousin was a bassist and my drummer was very important to me. We had a special irreplaceable relationship musically. I guess I'm defending people who aren't here to defend themselves, really. But it's also true. The Drums and the Bass, played simply or technically, IS the band. The rest is decoration other than the piece you are playing/the song. The older I get the more I hear the drums tone and voice as the entire thing. It's almost like it's all I hear anymore.
Anyway, have a nice day. I'll be staying around for your solo one day, I'm sure.
Щас покурим и начнем😂😅❤
Great video, the 2 bros are often connected, one facing the other when playing.
Angus (I guess) is detuned on Riff raff 2 & 3 (but who cares ?) .
Bon is really missing us on Go down, especially in the cuming moment 😄.
whats the papers Brian keeps going through? Lyric sheet to remember the words?
Lyrics, they did some songs that Brian hasn't played before etc Riff Raff, gone shooting etc, I believe they came up with the songs on the day.
@@SteelyD4n Gone Shootin' and Riff Raff weren’t written that day?

They recorded a full show later that day
Bryan looks like one guy that can punch your face if You grab his cigarretes
He really does but he's one of the nicest dudes ever.
they should return to smaller gigs suits them way better .. they can afford it ;)
Such a fun song to play on guitar riff raff

A real rock'n'roll band.
Fire the sound guy. Vocals keep cutting out and guitar levels keep changing.
I caught them the previous month in Dublin, Angus came out the back on top of a bouncer...less than 3 feet away :)
CZY to jest to samo
It's not my kind of music. But darn they are tight...

That fake Bon throws his voice in the first few minutes

Bon Scott was the man!!!!
It’s a teenagers band? 😂😂😂😂
Nothing more than a blues rock band with a nice leadplayer! 😮
And a gazillion fans😂
@@billpugh58 and 250,000,000 albums sold...
Yeah…NO.
In that context it is kinda funny the have to rehearse so much for what is basically the same style, tempo and beat throughout lol
Pretty obvious Brian doesn`t have the rhythm that Bon had when singing Go Down etc. Brian is much more of a straight shooter while Bon was the cool cat.
Just doesnt' sound right. Brian Johnson can't deliver Bon Scott era songs. Sorry to say this. Don't even know the lyrics. I like what Johnson did during 1980-1985. But this is crap. Go down, Brian, indeed.
need 4K THD Upscale, oh please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they died when scott died. new singer… i mean…
Is that the drummer that passed away recently?
No, you mean Colin Burgess. He only was in the band for the first couple of months.
This here is the man who is, in the eyes of most fans, the one and only AC/DC drummer: Phil Rudd!!!
I loved them for years with Bon...as soon as they brought Johnstone in with those horrible screeching vocals i went right off them....there's loadsa ace vocalists out there and they had to pick him! - :(
I agree, that screeching is horrendous! he crucifies Bons master pieces!
Weird seeing as how it was Bon who suggested if anything happened to him they should get Brian....
MRROBBIEWATTS ... Brian's voice is perfect for AC/DC, imo. I actually prefer his voice to Bon Scott's. Bon Scott's vocals are too nasally for me, whereas I love Johnson's shrieky power vocals.
This is a total waste of time to watch.
Lol then just don’t watch and stop complaining 😂
The year ist?
Mal’s trusty Guild must have refused to stay in tune. I guess there’s a first for everything!
It’s a Gretsch. It looked to me as though all three guitars were being checked by the guitar tech for tuning and intonation, prior to beginning the recording. Fascinating footage!
Phill ficked up riff raff but they smashed on
