I like that you went for the no reserve auction. Worth what the market will bear and set a price standard for others. Hope it buys you a yard full of concrete.
There will still be people complaining about something you didn't show or tell about never fails . Hope you get along with the new neighbor's don't no about being that close to the in-laws I try and get away from family lol but keep the video's coming and the new building up the new place to how you need it to be to have room to do what you do best

If there was ever a UA-camr who deserves a shop it is you my friend…While i do follow and enjoy others they are nowhere near the fabricator that you are…Good luck with the sale and the concrete and then a big ass tent(of sorts) I assume
I think that car should more than sufficiently fetch enough money to pay for the concrete. Too bad you can’t reach out to a concrete company and see if they would trade you. Pretty cool to see you in the bigger place. Now you have a bunch more room to work with.
My dream since i was a little boy watching the dukes of hazard in the early 80's was to own a 1969 dodge charger general Lee but my reality i know i will never have one cannot and never will afford one i am almost 50yrs old but i do get to drive one in my dream every now and then lol.
Glad to hear you moving Chris, that`s a whole lot of concrete you need and not a whole lot of car. I know someone will ask so it might as well be me, what would it cost to pay you to put quarters on, do the floor pan and fix the other small metal work issues, just a guesstamit would be fine, your a strait up guy, i`m dying to know.
Today that's a $9k turd.. I doubt you have more than $500 bucks invested in that cream puff.. hell naw to the naw naw naw.. get that concrete man.. you deserve more work space at your new place.. love your channel 👍
When you said you were moving.... I half expected you to get a place somewhere without the neighbors so close? 🤔 I'm sure you had your reasons for moving there (i.e. being closer to the In-laws) maybe. 🤷♀️ I just figured you'd find a place a little further in the desert where you could make as much noise as you want and pile in as many cars as you wanted. But I'm sure the pros outweighed the cons. 🙂
Please god, let me find a time machine. When I was a kid (c.1980), very clean and nicely equipped '70 Charger R/T's were selling on the used car lots for ~$5K.
This 'car' (one of my favorites) needs all new sheet metal, and you could probably have graveyard cars do it for about 15 to 35 K US dollars. Just buy a brand new vin body shell from dynacorn or other manufacturer. Has a great selection of cars, this could be your donor car for other miscellaneous parts. Like brake and clutch pedals, window trim, windows, etc.
I'd take it for $10,000. And then I'd let Chris do the metal work afterwards. And then I'd put a 69 grill and paint it. And not B-5 blur either. I'm painting it F-8 green on the body. With a bright white roof. I could care less about numbers matching also.
I 'm still kicking myself in the ass for selling my 70 Charger 500 back in 1976 just out of rightschool. 383 2b, auto , Gold/black vinyl. Found years later in a field of old mopars gutted . 😢😢😞😞😞😞😢😢
Don’t put too much faith in fleabay. Past experience has taught me that the winning bidder usually disappears or they come up with crazy excuses. The wife won’t let me have it or the dog jumped up and hit the keyboard.
I was thinking $3000 to $5000, but who knows since the world is running out of Chargers to restore. It will take about $80,000 to do a good job of restoring this car, and it will be worth about $100,000 after that. I would throw in a new crate 440 with a 727 auto trans into it.
@@colescrustycars How much money do you think it will cost to do a good restore job on this car, and how much money would it be worth after restoration? That is what would drive my estimation of a classic cars worth.
@@christophersanders5007 it all depends on what your skill set is. If your paying someone to build it for you, your going to have WAY more in it then it's worth. That being said, it's always cheaper to buy a car done then it is to build one. Its hard to swallow because of how cheap these cars were even 20 years ago. But the tags and title alone I've seen bring 5k attached to a car that would require a rebody to build. I'd say if this car sell for under 10k, it was a good buy.
@@junkerup wow. That’s scumbag stuff. Sorry man. I bid on it. I was outbid a few days ago but had I won I’d be rushing to pay and pickup my car. If you put the car back up for auction keep us posted.

You never know how many people you inspire to join the car culture that never would have or get them to go further on projects that they would have never taken time on.
Congratulations on your new place Chris you deserve it. Happy Holidays everyone.
Haven't watched one of your videos for a while. Need to dive into the archives to get motivated on my 68. Always have appreciated the content.

Happy for you, glad you went all in !
Congrats on the new digs! I just moved this summer and my new shop is going up right now!

Good luck with the new place
Good luck with your auction. I hope it brings enough for you to get all the concretes.

Well boys and girls, there you have it!
Can somebody post a link to the ebay ad please. Not sure why but I can't see it.

With a clean title $8k wouldn't be a bad deal. It would make an interesting Super Stock drag car.
Looking forward to the next Chevelle video

$500…where the hell you buying chargers for only 500. Everyone knows what they have. I will be lucky to get my money back out of it
Lol.. so basically how much for the fender and Vin tags?
if thats all you want
"IT'S A 1970 DODGE CHARGER 500?!" I wish I could buy it! Fully restored a 500 will sell at auction around $500,000.00!
The floors actually look quite solid minus a few pin holes
Long skinny hole in the passenger side about even with the door opening
Make a spot thick enough for a lift!!!
Is this generally still for sale Chris Matthew Porter sentinel Oklahoma
link in the description?
I just went to ebay. When I typed in 1970 Dodge Charger, this is the first one to pop up.
Do you have fenders for it and maybe a hood
Auction just passed what I was willing to pay. It would have been a long haul back to Texas anyway.
Sorry bud
Not too different a spec from my '70, though mine was a 318. Not anymore tho. Right on about what it's worth- whatever buyer and seller agree on.
Hi Chris
I find myself in need of a car to drive from Vegas to LA
Any idea of a shitbox I could buy or rent?
Cheers

From Australia
Does it run? Does it come with a warranty? Do you think it I could drive it back home to Wyoming?
Stop doing drugs.
It’s at $7000 with 8 days to go. Concrete ain’t cheap. Best of luck to ya.
A nother mean machine for the road Mopar hell ya

Could you turn it in too a general lee
Yup
Not a bad looking start. I live in Pa. Cars didn’t look that rot free in 1979.
Mine was far worse than that in 1982 (Detroit).. It was complete, though and running.

As seller I hope high but I’m not setting the bar…the buyers will
Nothing is more expensive than a "cheap" Charger.
Will you throw in the chewing gum for the gas tank? looks like it will need a truckload!
What. Would.It. Cost.You. to restore this H.O.J.

There is no such thing as a 68-70 charger reproduction shell

eBay link would be nice 👍
There’s literally only 1 70 charger on eBay that’s not a dealer and I think 5 total

HOW MUCH GUYS ?? 😎😎😎😎
How do you find it on eBay?
The number is listed at the end.
Someone going to need some skills to bring that 1 back
You can take it an make it any year
How rare is a 70 SE copper with white top 400 4 auto in the floor buckets console power windows power sun roof ac ps pb
I'm definitely not an expert but I can tell you with a sunroof in those options it was a heavily option vehicle the sunroof makes it quite rare
How much to put the metal on?
9,500!!
How’s it run lmao
Ram great when parked

Ha, don't kid yourself. Your neighbors will be glad not to look at all your valuables. I don't understand it, but so will mine.

I will buy every single 68-70 charger in this shape with clear title that is less then 5k and pay you a finders fee.

I would do some crazy shit for a charger (im in europe)
If this guy sells a charger that’s still In the “project” phase, that’s definitely not a good sign.

It is a mark of maturity to know when to let things go.
