I can empathise with Varun. I left Animation field after working for 12 years the moment I saw vray doing lighting. So being a lighting artist where I used to invest 7-8 hours to complete one scene, I saw a demonstration of ai in vray in 2019 - it used to do same work in few seconds. And I was like. Time to build some other business where Ai can’t replace me. Here I’m in Goa :) chilling running a restaurant and hotel. Yes and Btw doing dhanda is not fun always everyday.

Whatever Varun said is absolutely true. Note one key thing that he briefly highlighted that is going back to the basics. Modern entrepreneurship post AI evolution needs to be focused on something tangible (something that you can hold in your hand or see, or feel physically).
He gave example of farming(agriculture), but it can also be converted to something like production of semiconductors, equipment, heavy machinery operations and productions, manufacturing, etc. yes, you can automate some part of it using robotics, but you cannot leave everything on artificial intelligence as that is not a practical application of it. There will still be a lot of value of human involvement in those end to end set ups.

You should definitely go to US we don't need this much pessimistic people in India(Which is growing at a rate of 7% every year incomparison to US which grows at 2%)
Aur agr tumko sahi buisness nahi mil raha hai aur tum profitable nahi ho rahe ho to tum pessimistic ho hi jaoge (I think Avalon Scenes is not able to make money and is in problem that's why he has become pessimistic)
This Saas products are not used by the 135 cr people who living at 1lakh per capita
And i can tell you they don't even use more than 2/4 apps and thinking about that they will buy the subscription of any app like Netflix and Any other apps is nonsense in itself so if you really want to make money do the old school buisness and
AI will only replace these 0.1% People buisness who are building for the 0.1%
No Panipuri wala or Construction Buisness or Real Estate,Steel Industry,Mining,....... All these old school buisness are at very less risk of getting replaced and all the 135 cr are doing either these buisnesses and very few of them are doing jobs i.e. 3/4 Crs
And they are building for the 135cr and are profitable too.

This is an opinion piece by the founder.
His opinions are totally based on personal experience, which ultimately gives this pessimistic view.
If you're truly serious about building something, don't feel discouraged, and don't just listen to one expert's opinion.
You need to follow more people, and you need to do in-depth research.
The problem is most people look at the surface and form an opinion. You need to constantly question everything, and execute.

Kya bola isne ! 30 years old & too old !! Kya hum budhhe hogaye be ! ? 1 failed business - took 2years to get out of that dilemma if I should continue or stop , another one running very slowly (not profit - no loss), hope it will take pace in coming months. And finally going to launch omnichannel (online-offline / d2c/b2b) brand soon in a old school industry with no money. Aisa maat bol be. Hum bhi 30 ka honewalehai. We are in twenties bro😎. Chill Mar, itna frustrated mat ho.

I think I need anti-anxiety medication now. This sounds so hopeless man.
But pessimism apart, people who are saying AI is not a threat, and your jobs are not going to be replaced by AI, you guys should definitely use those tools even for a few days. You will know what Varun is talking about.
Sadly, I used to be a content writer (I left that field after ChatGPT came to the scene). It took me a few hours minimum to write a good article. But with ChatGPT, it merely takes seconds ( and I'm not even exaggerating). The articles that GPT produces are quite comprehensive and well structured, and you can adjust the word and comprehension difficulty in that damn thing.
Which for a normal human being with decent skills takes hours.
    No one is safe guys.
Even though it sounds depressing for now, "CHANGE" brings discomfort with it. Those who accept change evolve and those who resist, they perish. That's how it works.
If you resist change, it will happen out of necessity and helplessness rather than by choice. But it will surely happen. We will eventually learn how to deal with it.
The only thing we can now hope for is whether it's going to be a UTOPIAN or DYSTOPIAN world.
And Sorry for making it even WORSE. I can't help it.
    This is depressing.
