I enjoyed the video as usual Paul. Interesting harbour with the boats ready for breaking. An interesting lighthouse and definitely worth a photograph. The victorian swimming pool was cool and shows the workmanship was good and built properly and lasted, it certainly wouldn't last now if it was built. Nice image's as usual mate. You are a master with a camera in your hands. When you walked up to the light house I was sure it was a shame that it was surrounded by mud. You found a puddle and made some great photos of a beautiful lighthouse. I loved the boat wrecks and the pool. Maybe random, but everything was beautiful and interesting!
Just watched this Paul and this is where I live, if you ever up this neck of the woods again there is a secret waterfall just a couple of miles from this, it can't be seen from the road etc , it's a great little find I would show you if your free mate..
Who says its not good photography. Its interesting, so its good photography. I really like these lesser known locations vlogs. I think they've also taken the pressure off you, as there's very little to compare them to. These are some of your best shots for quite some time. I think there's a Victorian salt water lido in Saint Andrews (please correct me if I'm wrong, its been 15 years since I've been to St.A's. And I've a vague memory there's a functioning one (they pump the water in) in Saltcoats. Please correct me again if anyone knows. Much closer to your home base there's a small Victorian type spa pilgrimage site (run by the Catholic Church) at St Winifred's, in North Wales. Certainly worth a visit with a camera if you're in the area. It might even cleanse your soul 😇
I knew I'd seen something else about outdoor seawater swimming pools. Tarlair Swimming Pool, Macduff, on the north Aberdeenshire coast. Their is a 10 minute programme on it in Gaelic on BBC iPlayer Scotland, as part of the 'Dealbhe is Slighe' programme, Series 2, Episode 4 ( a guy who wild swims to places to get photographs, brrrrrrrh). Run down Art Deco outdoor pool, looks like a very cool site.
This is the victoriana tidal pool I mentioned to you a couple of months ago. It was divided in 2 to separate men and women. In the first world war it was used as a therapy pool for injured soldiers and the lower ranks were kept separate from the officers
