Today I am sharing with you the Allegro from the Sonata in C major KV 545 by Wolfgang A. Mozart. I hope you enjoy it!
Mozart's word on the 'mangling' of his compositions by exaggerating the tempo: "They believe that this is supposed to make it fiery; yes, if the fire is not in the composition, it certainly won't be brought in by rushing."

This might sound strange, but I think the tempo at which Mozart himself played this allegro was probably slower than my version. And the tempo at which other musicians, whether professional or amateur, played it in their homes around 1790 was even slower than Mozart's. And it was probably even more beautiful that way.
