Problem is that most people have opinions about COVID-19 pandemic without formal education in infectious disease and/or a medical degree. (Like the woman who thinks that she does not need to wear a mask outdoors in that large crowd) Anyone without access to public health data or training to objectively analyze it is just stating one person’s opinion. The reason that the public health discipline exists is because each individual (doctor) does not have that bird’s eye view that is needed to institute policy that will limit spread and disease (e.g. cholera, measles, polio,etc). That is why it’s important to listen to public health and infectious disease experts who have the data. Otherwise, it’s a never ending cycle of masks off, then lockdowns and masks on.

As a person from America, the CDC is no longer a n independent scientific body and should not be deferred to. You are not going to get a better path to wellness as long as the CDC is a political organization.
@@jncc1701 I was think about this in relative terms. Consider a citizen of China. Their healthcare delivery system is a joke...only on paper but nothing in reality. Sinovac has been proven a failure...it takes 4 doses to equal a western equivalent of 1 dose. The government stresses the use of traditional herbal medicine...which, on the surface, is fine for mild symptoms but does nothing for severe symptoms. And because of these conditions, the Chinese government has and continues to enact absolute lockdowns.
Compared to this reality, the CDC doesn't look so bad in the eyes of a Chinese citizen.
