This video we do the unboxing and initial install. We are able to get it boot and it sounds great. The next step is we need to trim the piece around the dash to have it fit. That video will be posted later!

I actually just got it in!
You guys made this way harder than it needed to be. The harness needs to be pushed down, not in. It rides the rails down, and goes in at the same time. Then the fitment is great, but you have to fix the stuff inside and move it around a bit. Mine fit perfectly the first time I put it in.

All of that now tell me how does it sound compared to the one you took out? Looking fancy is one thing but sound is the real test.

Could we move the AC downwards and the new unit upwards, just so it looks like a newer BMW?
I have a E46 also do you need 2 used these brackets that sent with it or is that for other applications

i got that unit for my CR-V and it also have the same standard theme . i want to know how to change the face theme and make it looks nicer and more personalized . also where to connect after market backup camera , i couldn't make it work automatically with reverse , i have to pic the camera and change it to the rear . it would be great if you make a video on the software too , thanks
in the google play store, download car launcher pro.
As far as aftermarket camera, there is yellow rca label camera vin. You need to tap into your cars reverse signal for the headunit to know it's in reverse.

I wonder is it possible to splice into the HVAC transmit and receive signal and connect those through the canbus to utilise having the Hvac controls display on the new android unit that has this capability??
I'm not sure, there is definitively canbus software for it. Whether it works for bmw, i'm not too sure.
For the honda civic 2017, and new corolla i was able to do a/c controls.
