So many hikers have come away with great experiences at Outdoor 76....and some great shoe options that have made a big difference for them. Glad you stopped there!!! Keep up the good work.
The cold sleet is called grappel. It is common to experience it in Montana any given day/night from May to November at 3500ft MSL and up. With 40 to 50mph winds the grappel is like small bullets, they really sting. But that is another CDT story. Your determination and humbleness to being helped and thankful is refreshing.
I really love watching your videos. You seem like the type of person that would be enjoyable to hike with. I am now anxiously waiting for you updates. Keep having fun. Jeff
I am so impressed by your stamina, Gab! Love your videos, and updates. Thanks for letting us share (in part ☺️) this experience with you. The scenery is amazing!
I really enjoy watching your videos! I hope that the Hokas work out for you. I too used Hokas for running and for the past several years I have been using the Speedgoat for hiking. So far I have put over 700 miles on the Speedgoat (two pairs) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with great success. I hope that the shoes work as well for you as they have for me. I certainly wish you the best of luck as you continue your journey north!
I’m hearing reports of a norovirus outbreak along the NC/TN section of the trail. That stuff is wicked. Wash hands and never eat from someone else’s food bag. Stay safe!
Yeah, that 16 mile day was an unusual accomplishment .. GO, STOP, GO AGAIN... nice job
