When you started to practice arm-wrestling and why did you chose it?
- For the first time I started to practice arm wrestling in my neighborhood in 2012. Always knew that my genetics predisposes to this, because at school I always beat high school students.
What are your most important achievements at the moment?
- At the moment, the best achievement for me, of course, is the champion’s place at the European Championships, I am pleased with it.
How much time do you need to prepare for the championship?
- To reach the peak form, I need to practice from 3 to 5 months. In training I spend more time pulling at the table, I pull a lot.
How did the European Championship go for you? Are you satisfied with your result?
- Yes, I am very pleased, 4 medals from the European Championship - in my opinion, this is excellent. But on the third day of the fight, my hand was already very sore.
You became a prize-winner in youth and seniors, where it was more difficult to fight?
- Of course, in seniors.
Who surprised you at this European Championship and why?
- Betkili Oniani surprised me. I liked the performance of Arthur Makarov, this guy is actually the strongest. He is a great boy and deserves respect.
In general, the European Championships turned out good, but the refereeing was at a very low level. If there are no successes in this plan, then our sport will not go far.

@@ernokirnyan9984in all honesty, the Georgian training methods are kinda...useless i mean cheat curls are really useless tbh. Irakli, revaz, genadi, zurab all got clapped. There are a few gifted ones like bacho and levan but that's about it. Irakli should train with john tbh

Using your back to pull it up doesn't count. That's why they call it strict curls..using just biceps. Go watch Dennis when he has his back against the wall from preventing anything but his biceps pulling the weight

@@kingwillie206 it depends on your style of pulling. Hammer curl strength (back pressure) is extremely important in armwrestling if you’re a top roller. If you’re a hook puller then side pressure and cupping are a bit more important, but bicep strength is still important
@@georgepoly4842 - I’m an armwrestler so I know that, but bicep strength for the most part can’t be accessed without finger flexion, cup, riser, supination, etc. Pure side pressure and pronation can also dominate a match. Noobs tend to think they should spend the majority of their time curling when such just isn’t the case.

Amigo, vai uma crítica construtiva aí de um educador físico, não está errado. Tem dois pontos, o primeiro é que ele é muito usado pra luta de braços e o segundo é que é um excelente exercício de hipertrofia para finalizar um treino de bíceps 💪🏼
