I've moved the vast majority of assets to other markets outside of United States and the EU. The real parallel is Venezuela, Greece, and other insolvent governments. Instead you seem to assume the government is stable. The Great Depression is nothing like what we're seeing now either.

Then once you have the clear answer in your head do something about it and convert those dollars into the highest form of payment in the world or stay in the poorhouse all your life, its a no brainer for me, silver is good too and can be used as barter when nobody want to take the fiat or digital anymore, end of story.

Then take your cash that was earning 4% the whole time and buy even more stocks when they go on sale. It's the best combo of being safe and smart. Inflation will destroy you if you only hold cash. we get boom & bust cycles because the people saying "everything is fine" don't listen to the REASONS cited by the crash predictors, central banks try to control inflation to preserve long term economic stability, while governments do everything they possibly can to delay the next crash until the "other party" takes office, even though central banks try to control inflation by causing small short-term downturns.
the end result is that we get massive crashes, because the two systems are fighting each other, because one focuses on the long term while the other wants massive growth during their term followed by a crash as soon as the "other candidate" gets into office.

In my opinion, I think we will not get any rate cuts until something financially or psychologically breaks in the market. I believe the fed is trying to give it's self room to act when it's appropriate to, however, wall street is trying to bully the fed into a corner. Wall street wants lower rates to boost market valuations at the cost of higher inflation for the average middle class consumer. As how unpopular my opinion may be, I think the market and the economy needs to go through a recession to reset everyones sky high expectations and fix the psychological around the inflation argument.for me Bitcoin is the ultimate defence against a tyrannical government.r.. I get so tired of people saying, "debt bad", for f sakes people. If you take debt out to buy a 20 unit apartment building or a house, renovate it, borrow against that equity and do it again, that's called good debt, or an investment. Government debt works the same way. The only difference is, you don't suddenly decide to give your renters a 50% cut in their rent because if they pay less rent to you for their apartment, they'll rent more apartments from you, and therefore your income will go up. See, see how that doesn't work? Good debt is investing in schools, bridges, roads, airports, etc. There is such thing as good debt and bad debt. Cutting taxes is BAD DEBT. This country has a revenue problem and it ain't revenue from you but Large Corporations free riding.

The rise in gold has not been from US retail investors. It has been driven primarily by Central Banks around the world and by individuals in India and China as a store of wealth against their falling currencies. And the US government is limited to the amount it can help in the next crisis. We are already seeing deflation in China, deindustrialization and disinflation in the EU. All countries are holding staggering levels of debt that cannot be repaid. The US can lower interest rates but that does little when people are worried about their jobs. And stimulating by Increasing debt with stimulus checks or bailouts of failing banks will only cause more inflation. There is no easy answer and there is massive pain ahead.

I have no problem with the ETFs, but people need to understand market fundamentals. Refinancing induces a stock market correction (transition from bull to bear) where money is being removed from the stock market and re-entering real-estate, businesses/services.
It truly makes no sense to hold precious metals physically unless you're just collecting them for fun. It's not worth the time or exchange as an investment. Silver is volatile and gold is expensive in even modest quantities.

With nearly half the global property in investors hands, and housing used basically as a get rich quick scheme by the few holding all this property, it is inevitable that inventory recycling is going to drag the entire shooting match over the cliff about every 20 years odd. There is no chance that a global crash can be avoided, when, well I don't think its far off as the housing peak has passed already, maybe this year, my thoughts, in a few months time.

Well when, not if the economy collapses, the dollar will go along with it. Stack cash? Sure, good advice but you better be stacking some Precious Metals along with that cash. BOTH gold and silver will hold their values in a collapse, they always do, but the dollar will lose a LOT of it's value. What good will the dollar do you when it will take 100 of those dollars to buy a loaf of bread? Which would you rather own when that time happens? Plus you will be able to 'barter' for goods with those PM's as many won't even want those dollars. Just something to think about....

We’ve forgotten hot to be fiscally conservative and financially responsible. The average person needs to invest in their own debts, first and foremost! Spend rationally! Save! Start small and humble in real estate then gradually work yourself up in the market. Buy run down on a bad market. Decorate. Do up the grounds then sell on a good market. Don't be lazy. Do it a few times and you will be well off. Never put yourself in a position where you have to fire sell your property or you will suffer bad financial loss that could take years to recover from, if ever you do.
