This was great! Thank you! For anyone with a different model, look for an additional switch on the fireplace that will let you manually turn it on vs the wall switch.
I have had numerous people TRY to instruct me on this process. I think your video did the trick (-not to mention I saved it and can look at it on my phone). Thank you.k
This ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxATHBlMJwipGgVWseuAFKvDQ_5R4_lywo unit was an easy install and turned out amazing. The dimensions were exact! I took a chance and built the wall prior to receiving the unit which arrived sooner than expected and it fit right in the space I constructed. The heat output is perfect for the space we needed and made the room exactly how we envisioned it to turn out. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability. Thank you for the awesome product just in time for the holidays.
How well does your fireplace heat the home? Thinking of fixing mine. Just moved into mine, and it has an older one. Love a fireplace and it could help in an emergency potentially.
Thanks for the video!! As a new by to a gas fireplace I feel more comfortable now with this thing lol. Still not sure what the little switch is for on the bottom vent.
Friend can you tell me why the pilot flame must always be light? Why not each time you use you open gaz valve start the pilot and go on? I cant understand that. Its not dangerous?
Thank you Will. I noticed you said during the Winter Season the pilot light would remain on. Would you recommend shutting the pilot light off when leaving the house unattended? Thanks for the instruction.
Hello. That is a choice left up to you. If you have animals who might toss something in there or go in there themselves, then yes for sure. Otherwise, it is up to you. Some people leave it on and others turn it off each time.
So when I don't want to use it for heat do I rotate it back to "pilot" or leave it at the lowest low? I want to keep the pilot light burning but I don't want it heating.

Looks like my comment didn’t post or maybe it’s being reviewed. Just wondering why mine cycles on and off. Not the pilot, that stays lit. The flames go up and down.
Sorry, we didn't delete any comment. If the flames go up and down without you adjusting anything, sounds like a gas issue, but def have a fireplace/gas expert come check that out.
Many times, the knob is the button. With it in the pilot position, try pushing the knob in. If it moves about a quarter of an inch, it's opening the gas valve. I usually press the igniter repeatedly while pressing the knob so the gas will light. If it lights, keep holding the knob so it will stay lit by keeping the gas flowing. Hold it for about a minute, then let go, and the pilot light should stay lit.

It does a decent job if the doors are open to the rooms being used and the fan is on.
Thank you so much!! I feel more confident to light mine safely.

Do you have to use the gas??? I can’t find any information on this. Can I just start a normal old fashioned fire??
Thank you

What’s the red button to the right of the knob?

@@mrau92me I wish you'd seen my post earlier as I have moved to a new place with no fireplace. But now I know for next time! Thanks
