Great fix. Probably some 80s kid (who is in their 30s or 40s now) playing around tossing and yanking the speaker trap box by the cable. The toy company should have used a better cable. Do you have a component checker? I use the LCR-T7 Multi component tester. I use it all the time when checking components especially the ESR on caps. It not expensive as well.
I think I had one of these as a kid, in fact the only things I didn't have were the fire house and the trap. I had the Beetle, which I particularly liked and the proton pack. I think the stickers peeled off the trap part of mine. As you can imagine, this toy annoyed my parents and any other adults that came round.
@@FixitAde Just got to the end of the video. If memory serves me well, I think the stickers were applied by the consumer, I always remember having stickers in the box of my toys and my dad getting frustrated when I would stick them on wonky and/or creased, thus making the toy look a bit rubbish. I definitely remember someone in my family sticking the chevrons on the top of that trap.
Great vid, as always. I would love to see how you made the Ghostbusters backpack. I have made lots of props from Back To The Future and thinking moving onto the Ghostbusters props.
It was trial and error to be honest with the pack, but I have a knack of using everyday items there's a lot of car parts used, for instance the N filter at the bottom of the pack.is an oil filter for a Renault clip with I've modded to make it.look like the N Filter, I made a video a while back ill.dig it out, send me an email and I'll send it over
@@FixitAde you deff need one, the video quality is top notch but the mic. it needs to go or have some ai to improve the discord voice call-sounding effect
Thanks for your feedback mate I appreciate it, I found the problem was a poor ground loop in my mic but I have gone out and splurged on a new one anyway 👍
I had one of those voice modulators as a kid.. was cool.

Yeah I had the trap, ecto 1, the projector gun and the beetle too but also never had the firehouse.

Nice one Ade! Here in Australia, there is an electronics kit called “voice bender”.
Is it ghostbusters or just it's own brand?
@@FixitAde it’s a brand of it’s own, sold by Jaycar Electronics.
I'm also out of the UK in the Wirral area, nice fix
Thanks mate 👍
