i remember when i first bought when it first came out i had it on repeat for forever and i never got sick of it, between them and deftones.. those album's are on my top 10
Killer song. One of thr early 2000s classics. The drummer is the 2nd singer in this band. The girl singer is a guest singer on the album, Melanie Wills. She was in the band, One True Thing😊
thanks for showcasing this! Fata has always been such a poetic multi talented, under rated band and i'm glad because that can always hurt a band but everyone of them created two of my favorite album's and honestly i cry still and this came out when i was almost done with high school, the cherry on top being ms melanie and the lyrics on every single song of that whole album. It's so rare these day's that you stumble and fall in love with a band and every one of each song on the whole album becomes a treasure for you, very very rare. I have probably not more than 10 or 15 i can say saved my life track to track. I am more of a lyrical and poetic person so if there's not that as your foundation, you don't have much. But of course they have both lyrical and instruments and they def. need to get back in the studio, it's been long overdue, please give em more listening.
This has been my legit favorite song for the last 15 years. The violin gets me a little teary eyed sometimes. Check out Pisces from Jinjer or In this Moment.
my best concert ive ever been to was fata in calgary alberta canada in like 2005-2010 era. was the guitarist bday that night and the show was just amazing!
Wow I was hoping someone else would suggest FATA, the band that was my first experience with harsh vocals. This album is one of the top releases of the 2000s imo and this song is one of the best on the album. The entire thing is worth checking out but Reflections is one of my favorite songs of all time (takes you on a “Man of the Year type journey”) absolute must listen. Cherry Kiss is a close second for me. One interesting tidbit is the drummer, Fran Mark, does the clean vocals (and some harsh vocals too!) and after their 3rd album he takes over harsh vocals too when that vocalist leaves the band. Some songs with videos by them include- Royal Crown vs Blue Duchess, The After Dinner Payback, and Milligram Smile. Pretty please keep checking out more by FATA 😀
@@SkillJim same, I saw them several times before they broke up/went on hiatus. Heard rumors of a potential reunion but we’ll see. Gotta agree after dinner payback is top notch!
You need to hear "Autumns Monologue" and then "The Fiction We Live" by the same band. It has the same girl in the first song and the lead singer of the band singing back to her in the next song. These songs have to be listened to in unison.
I've loved FATA for about 15 years or longer, they have so many badass songs and they have a good live show also. Check out The After Dinner Payback, you'll probably like it also.
These 3-vocalists songs are insane, this band was amazing from start to finish ! I just hope there's a universe in which Ben and Melanie were still part of the band during the production of Holding a Wolf by the Ears, OMFG ! 🚑 EDIT : Don't get me wrong, I'm a late fan, and Holding a Wolf by the Ears is the first album I listened from FatA but I would LOVE to have a version with all of the OG members, it would be the most insane thing to ask but I really want it to happen someday. EDIT : I still can't get over that part when you think it's the end of the song and then that "Oh boy, here we go again !" moment ^^
There’s a bit at the end of all Sub Sunday live reaction videos where Chris explains. But basically every Sunday at 10pm BST for me (in the UK), you tune in and Chris will give you a marble for the marble race, if your marble wins you get to pick any song or video under 10 minutes long
The song is great, the female vocalist ruined it. Too breathy, too poppy, doesn't fit their style at all. I actually wrote them off for years until I discovered she wasn't in their other songs. 😂
Underrated metalcore band. Holding the wolves by the ears is a masterpiece
From first track to the last. Glad to know other people feel the same
Must have in a car with The Fiction We Live

She sounds awful.

this old metalcore made me the man i am today...
Can’t believe this is the first time you’ve heard this iconic song
Ah man there's an incredible live video for this from way back in the day.
YES! I love the female vocals but I always preferred the live version with the drummer doing cleans

I was a massive fan of FATA back in the day too, almost forgot about them so this was a nice surprise. After Dinner Payback is a must!

I listen to this band every single day still.
Milligram Smile, Take her to the music Store, The After dinner Payback and Vicious Cockfight from FATA 🙃🔥🔥🤘🏼

Someone in his chat said, "purevolume classic" and that just sent me into a time warp
Such a great song/band. So underrated.
It's not a song, it's a journey.

Im not a huge fan of early 2000s hardcore but this song is INCREDIBLE
This song brings up many memories
This album was way before ABR "constellations". How do I get to view this live reaction? I'm so delayed.

51 seconds ago? First?! Who doesn't remember Kazaa?? This album was so good!
The females vocalist name is Mellanie Wills; she was in a bad named One True Thing.
cheers, yeah want more of her vocals!
You can react to fatal from motionless in white? Pleasee :)
