For a game that embraces "video game logic" as they say, I'm surprised they didn't lean into it more and do away with dice rolls altogether, maybe more like Gloomhaven (apart from the crit and miss cards) When you swing a sword in a Zelda you don't have random crits & misses like in Final Fantasy My favorite counterexample is Morrowind. When you made a hit in combat, sometimes it would randomly be a miss, which felt really misaligned. They fixed that for Oblivion and Skyrim and did away with it
Many thanks for spotlighting our game! Your kind words melt my pixel heart.
And just to clarify, all our rules PDFs are pay what you want.
Ohhhhh… everyone go send them money!
I'm not a huge video game guy, but this seems like a lot of fun. I could see this being a nice palate cleanser.
Yah, that’s how I’m taking it.
cool physical design. They did a good job on it I'd say!
Oh heck yah. It’s beautiful.

sure…but I think they wanted it to still feel like a TTRPG and… triangle dice.
You should see if you can find the "crystal shard" d4 or you could use a d8.
I wonder if it's based on Caltrop Core?
Ohhhh?
What are crystal shard d4? Are those the barrel shaped ones that look kind of like ruppees?
Oh.. I thought he was talking about a game! Duh me.
I could, I like those.. but the triangle…
@@loconius yep, they not so much pointy as they are rolly
@@DMTalesTTRPG Caltrop Core is a real thing!
Wes, if we don’t get to have lunch together on Friday or Saturday during PAXU I’ll consider that event a critical fail. Just saying.
I agree, no nat 1s at PaxU!
Super Mario bros ?
Oh… you NEVER disappoint. Though… Metroid was right there…
