I grew up on 102nd Street. We moved to Rochester in January of 1971 before anyone imagined what was to come. It was a wonderful neighborhood to grow up in. The 50's and 60's was a whole different world.
I drove by that abandoned area. It was something to see. No people around. I learned about the canal in college.
