Here's the thing though. Its great that this guy reports almost real time but clearly he aims at negativity for clicks. I can show you pictures taken today less than a mile away and everything is pristine. Playacar is BEAUTIFUL and this changes everyday for each section of every beach. And as you saw, folks are working relentlessly to clean up. This is not a reflection of the whole beach at PDC, not by a Longshot. Yes sargasso gets worst as it gets warmer and it starts earlier than ever but this scene is very isolated and could be fine tomorrow.
Great comment. Can I pin you comment for all to see? Great information here. Thank you for watching! I hope everyone knows Playacar is a gated community and has been great lately.
After being in Playa, for a week now, I can only commend the beach cleaners. Today, Feb 14, around 9.30am, there was no sargassum from Playa del Carmen beach to Inti beach - and the sea was very clean too. There have been a couple of storms which did bring a fair amount of seaweed but the cleaning crews did their job admirably. Obviously the beachfront is long and haven't covered every km
Agreed! I talk to them everyday. Some are volunteers. We volunteer too. They are managing it. Working hard. Lots of respect for them. Thank you for watching! See you on the beach.
I heard when they have these blooms, it is generally near a sewage dump of water. I know it it like that in the USA. All the garbage feeds the crap. So sad. LIKE 17👍👍👍
I dont think I would want to be in the water in that area even without the seaweed, looks like crap. Grand Sunset Princess didnt have that problem which isnt too far away.
I really appreciate your updates. When you say you will not be coming back out here, do you mean you are going to stop making videos regarding seaweed updates?
I will keep making videos but I keep getting head aches from that one area and the insects keep swarming me. If it is new seaweed I will go there again but if it is older seaweed I won't for health reasons. Thank you for watching!
Oh gross...but the ocean does Purdue itself just like a lake. The dead debris has to go somewhere! I feel sorry for anyone nooking a vacation there and wanting to sun their buns! Cheers...
It looked like that in June last year that cove is the worst of the whole section, we were there in December and no seaweed the cove was clean. We always stay at mahekal
Yes, you are right! I was here in December too and it is good... no seaweed. Great place to stay Mahekal...did you like it? PDC is a great place.... just have to come here at the right time of year to avoid the seaweed. Thank you for watching!
It can last easily for 6 months, always gets worst in the summer. BUT this varies day to day and you can walk 300 feet either way and the beach and water is pristine!
It should be here in early April. @tooj64 had a good comment below. It also depends where you are staying in PDC. The seaweed is usually here April to October. Thank you for watching!
Playa del Carmen has more than 40 km of coastline and you only film sargassum, sea grass and red algae in a 100 meter stretch, which is a cove and not a beach for bathing. You are sensationalist.
Yes good point. I did a video 1 km north of here a few days ago and the beach was awesome. This is the worst area and other areas are awesome. Thank you for watching!
Just sounds bad. Not all of us can afford Hawaii. Sorry we aren't all perfect like you. Lol. Also, I happen to love Mexico, airbnb's and street food. Its wonderful.

Correct, this cove is always the worst part of the whole beach area
Cocoa Beach area can get nasty also

Many Blessings Bro🙏
Thank you for this share! I hope the situation gets better!
It all depends when you go. I have friends that I will meet up with and there is no seaweed at the all inclusive resort they are staying at.
It doesn't look good! When it comes in bad, it's really BAD!!!!

It sounds like seaweed season is here now
I enjoy the seaweed updates. It looks awful. I hope that you didn't get a headache. The Wyndham is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
This was the case last year when we were there. The beaches are cleaned up! You will still have a great time! 👍
Yes Playa is still a good place to come. Thank you for watching!
Unfortunately the seaweed stinks and makes it difficult to enjoy the beach! 😷
I heard when they have these blooms, it is generally near a sewage dump of water. I know it it like that in the USA. All the garbage feeds the crap. So sad. LIKE 17👍👍👍
The seaweed is on its way to Florida too. Thank you for watching!
Holy Smokes!!! That's a lot of seaweed! I wouldn't walk in it either! Thx for sharing!
So many insects and bites on my legs! Thank you for watching!
Well I am glad the beaches are getting cleaned up! Seaweed seems to collect more in certain location which I will avoid. 😜
Most Mexico travelers know that mid February is sargasso season and predicted to get worse in the coming years due to increase seas temps rising.
Thx for this upload! 👍
Thank you for watching!
Thanks….this is usually the week we visit Bahia Principe in Rivera Maya….they do a good job there cleaning
Good point. They are doing a good job cleaning it up in certain areas. Hope you have a good trip. Thank you for watching!
OMG the seaweed covers the beach!!! It’s going to come fast & furious! ☹️
On its way. Thank you for watching!

completely understand. Will be in PDC in a few days, hopefully it stays clean! thank you again!@@leonardsheatravel
TY for the update! You have good & bad days! Oh well! 🤷♀️
Yes! Thank you for watching!
It’s funny people never mention this. The seaweed has been a thing for many years. In the 90s cancun was great.
Oh gross...but the ocean does Purdue itself just like a lake. The dead debris has to go somewhere! I feel sorry for anyone nooking a vacation there and wanting to sun their buns! Cheers...
Sun their Buns! Hehehe! Comment of the day!!! Thank you for watching!
@leonardsheatravel Your welcome Leonard, if it is a nude beach, they are sunning more than their buns...

Mahekal is amazing, It is the only place I have stayed (5 times ) I will be retiring down there for sure.

Wow! 😮 That doesn’t look good at all.
Thank you for watching!
🤢 Kind of brings a whole new meaning to "seasick!"
Hahahaha! Good one! And I have all these bites on my legs from the insect swarm.... not nice. Happy Valentines Day! Thank you for watching!
I wonder how it is in Cozumel? We have a snorkeling trip planned for next week 😢
West side of Cozumel is good. It should be good next week if you are on the west side of the island. Good Luck! Thank you for watching!
Wow thats a lot of seaweed! cant wait to (sea🤣) what the 15th looks like
It is coming! It is going to get nasty! Thank you for watching!
roughly how long will this last we are due to visit in ealry April?
It can last easily for 6 months, always gets worst in the summer.
BUT this varies day to day and you can walk 300 feet either way and the beach and water is pristine!
Yes! Great comment! This is true. Thank you for watching!@@toonj64
