    Look at us now, Moyes has completed trasnformed us. The most impressive thing about Moyoes is how he has been saying that he doesn't just want a good team that does well. He wants to completely transform the club, change their identity and the way they do things and become a real serious force in football, and I fully believe he could achieve that.

      the shabby fraud who got more points in a single season than any manager has ever got for Everton in the Premier League era, 9 more than Moyes did the season before, 6 more than he ever got with Everton. It was also the highest points total any Everton manager has ever got, bar only the great Howard Kendall. The shabby fraud also took us to the quarter finals of the Europa League, a feat surpassed by only Howard Kendall in our history. The shabby fraud got us to two cup semi-finals in one season, again a feat surpassed by only the great Howard Kendall. Whilst the aforementioned things are all facts, I'll also add some opinion and state that the Shabby fraud played the best football I have ever seen us play, a million times better than David Moyes ever managed. Furhermore, he was a post or two away from a few good wins in a second season blighted by injury to James McCarthy and others. But yeah, don't let that get in the way of crap people like to level at Martinez.

      harry catterick, cliff britton, gordan lee and tosh macintosh managed more under old two points system converted to three. . in 1970 CATTERICK equalled chelsea''s record when converted to three points. harry also took us to a European quarter final in 70/71
      i agree RM wasn't a fraud i just think he was a manager who the glass was half full, did many right and wrong things. his own stubborness stopped him and us from progressing.

    Welcome back David Moyes 😂

  • @paddyb4210
    @paddyb4210 6 років тому +18

    I actually think he will do really well. Excellent at Everton ( Martinez and koeman both proved how hard the job is). He was climbing a mountain at United, no one could have replaced Ferguson yet alone with an ageing side with leaders like vidic, Evra and Ferdinand all leaving. Van Gaal spent well over 100 million more than moyes at united and apart from the FA cup he didn't really pull up any trees either. In terms of sociedad and Sunderland, very few British managers achieve success abroad and Sunderland is a club in turmoil as the championship table now shows.
    Moyes is an excellent manager who has took the wrong jobs in recent years. He has now got a very good squad at West Ham, if he can get them organised and keep a settled formation and style of play im sure he will do very well.

    • @reeveswongpiano
      @reeveswongpiano 6 років тому +3

      Paddy B
      Good point sir, but personally I think the league is a lot tougher than the days when Moyes was at Everton.
      Back then you have two or three top teams and now you have 6.
      And all the “smaller premier league clubs” now have the ability and money to buy players.
      It will be a big challenge but I hope he does well in his new job.

    Commenting from the future moynes kept west ham in the premier league but was not renewed after 6 month contract was up They called him back again and not only kept them up but led them to 6th and seventh place with a europa league semifinal finish Last season they had a drop to 14th place Look bad except they won the europa conference league trophy ending a 43 year trophy drought and now they are in the top four and competing in europa league again

  • @Jellyshroom

    It's difficult to judge him outside of his time at Everton. He wasn't given the time at United, Sociedad was a really odd appointment, and Sunderland had been utter garbage for a while and I don't think anyone could have kept them up. I'm inclined to think we'll see more of what he did at Everton, but the players are going to have to buy into his system quickly.

      ^^ the fixtures get to become an uphill struggle after december 4th (city then chelsea then arsenal), and given everton's recent form a result at Gooidson Park isn't the most far fetched thing in the world. leicester at home is probably gonna be the hardest of those 3 fixtures

    It's interesting watching this now - in Moyes' second spell at West Ham (where he's had much more success). Tifo was absolutely right about him being a 'dead man walking' after the fan-favourite Bilic (Big Sam in a similar position now at West Brom). But now he's over-achieved and is succeeding it looks to be working and he now has been given some faith and the club and fans are daring to dream of long-term stability - and it's still in a very similar vein to how he is described in this video (for example - his 4-4-1-1 and 4-2-3-1 formations. Great work as always Tifo - this video has still aged beautifully even though things have changed so much

    Can Carroll play as a 10? He is better with the ball than people give him credit for, and long shots are one of his strengths. he won't have fellaini's distribution or vision, but he will have a better eye for goal and Hernandez can sweep any loose balls from deflections and GK saves. Also Ayew can play in the advanced poacher position as he is fast, strong, and can drag defenders with him. Excited for WHU vs Watford

    Moyes used a 451 with Everton. Initially a 4141 type with two banks of 4 and Carsley inbetween. Later, he had two wingers Pienaar on the left and Mirallas on the right, but for the most part we had a player like Arteta there. The wingers played narrow with width provided by the fullbacks Baines and Coleman. In the middle he liked hard working midfielders, with a three in an inverted diamond with a Carsley type sitting deep. Sometimes, he would play a 4411 with Fellaini off the striker. But the midfield would sit deep and have to work hard.

    Ideal Manager for West Ham. The perfect fit given their circumstances ( though they will beat Southampton today 2/0 ) He has plenty of experience taking teams down and he will just the Man for the relegation battle ahead in 2018/19 in The Championship in front of rows of empty seats at that Athletics Track they rent in the middle of nowhere, in particular.
    I reckon with luck he will, just, keep them in The Championship next year after Lanzini and Co are long gone...

    the number of seasons, he was at Everton, he never got them relegated, and looking at the stats, that he had over 50% with Man Utd, the club which he was only given one season, after Alex Ferguson was nearly sacked at the beginning of his Man Utd, also the number of seasons Ferguson had as well, is going to be hard to copy that; Mourinho didn't get into the top 4, last season. His first game is against Watford, who after the Arsenal game have not been having great luck, and who don't have a good home record, so a result for Moyes, I think.

    • @Noblehammer16
      @Noblehammer16 6 років тому

      Moyes has done a good job after a rough start, but I didn't expect miracles with some of the first few games being Watford, Everton and Man City away. Since then he has lost only once and captured 15 of 24 points with a 50% win rate.

      Usually in a 4-4-1-1 the first "1" is a "Hidden striker" or secondary striker, as in a 4-2-3-1 the player in the middle of the 3 is a number 10, and has usually more defensive responsibility. You do still have a point, and considering the role doesn't change all that much, it maybe is irrelevant to differentiate them.

    • @walterbalderrama
