    Appreciated the explanation and diagrams. Made me read up definitions to really understand high pass and low pass and band pass filters. Thanks 👍

    I have RAINBOW CS 260.30 reference biampable crossovers. Please help . How to connect this to an Amplifier.
    I don't want to biamp it, but want to connect to my Amplifier.
    This Crossover has Bi Input with bridge wires. Has woofer output with 4 terminals and tweeter output with 4 terminals .
    Shall I have to bridge these 4 terminals too ?
    Any help ?!
    Thank u

    Question for everyone. I have a Audio Control DM810 installed in a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I am running it active on all 8 speakers and I have a hiss in just the tweeters. Any idea how to remove that hiss in the DSP or is it just floor noise???? Any help would be great.

      Bruh! I have the same issue with my front stage! Dean would probably say, “it needs more ground” Fernando would probably say it needs new tires... 🤪 but yep I can’t find the source of the hiss either

      Maybe the gains on the tweeter channels are a bit high and it's floor noise.

    Bought a focal 165FXE 2 way compoant system with bi amp cross over. Can I wire it using just one channel from my 5 channel alpine v9 amp.

    Hey guys great video . Thanks for what you guys do. Question I’m going active in my system . I have the d-4.800 amp from audio control. The speakers that I have are the hertz mlk 165.3 components. Where should I do my crossover for the sub and tweeters ? Should I use the bandpass for my woofer and where should I cross my tweeter ? Thanks in advance

    If you don't have a bandpass on the amp, can I use the passive X over for the 6.5 mids and the amp for tweeters. So part passive an part active front

  • @markie1993

    Heres my question I have a 4 channel amp . My front channel is running 3 way kappas. The rear channel is running two 6.5 mids and one super tweeter thru a passive crossover. How would I hook up a active crossover? Would I have to buy another amp for the tweeters?

    I can’t decide between Mille pro coax or tempo ultra Integra. Would one be brighter than the other on same power or would that be a tuning issue? Will be on DC audio 90x4 @ 4ohms.

    Wish I had caught this live. Anyone make sure I'm thinking correctly on this. If I go from a Helix DSP to a high (4 channel) amplifier, do I just need to turn off the crossover's on the amplifier and use the crossover in the DSP to go active to a two-way component set?

    • @shane35fowler
      @shane35fowler 3 роки тому +1

      Correct.... Set the amp to Full range/ Full or all pass. Use the Crossovers and time alignment from the DSP

    So I have RF T16S component cab speakers in my front and rear doors how much power lose will I expect to have on my passive crossovers

    • @shane35fowler
      @shane35fowler 3 роки тому

      It's not that simple unfortunately. You can expect 2-3DB loss(3DB is essentially Half RMS) but it really depends on the Caps and Resistors and type of crossover network used. This is why Active is King!!

      @@shane35fowler well I have the T16S component speaker sets in front and back I know passive crossovers use power from the inline amp they are hooked to but I have no idea as to how much power lose I will have I have chosen the RF P600-4 it has a dynamic power of 130 my T16S peak at 160 forest said it should be good to go and will stay with in warrenty area I hope that is anuff power to over come the crossovers

      T16S 80W RMS....
      Shouldn't be an issue at all..... Remember Music is reactive so its not like it will be pushing full power at every frequency. You can mitigate risks by setting your gains conservatively or turning up the high pass to 100-150hz if you hear distortion from your Midbass. The tweet is already covered by the passive

      @@shane35fowler ok that’s good to know but Rockford told me the dynamic power mode is when we are driving around slamming as hard as we can with out distortion and that amp is rated at 129 in dynamic mode and a conservative 75 per channel
