I loved this watch but money being tight I had to wait.finally saved up enough and went one step further and bought the king seiko black edition.saphire crystal and ceramic bezel with the grenade dial.glad I had to wait now love it and wear it everyday.
Super accurate automatic mechanical..I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a masterpiece for good price...it will go up in value

1970 Diver’s Re-creation Limited Edition, but this one is $4000 cheaper and looks very similar. :)
Yeah 4,000 is a bit much for the re creation imho , can get a nice homage for around $200

That was a 3 year factory Seiko warranty.
Got mine yesterday...found it at Macy’s for $297...with a 3 year warranty.
Not bad , i paid $250 i believe but no warranty - Macys always accepts returns :)
Guitar T I got mine on sale.
The MSRP on the watch is $495.00....got mine at 40% off.
In fact my watch was gaining a minute per day so I called Macy’s and there sending me a new one. Good customer service.

I just bought this exact watch and I love it but I’ve noticed the Lume is not very bright!!! I’m sitting in the pitch dark right now and I see nothing. A little disappointed.
thats kind of odd, I parted ways with mine but the lume was always good
Watch Addiction Watch Reviews you know what? I wore the watch today out in the sunshine and then I walked into the house. Oh man did the lume turn on!!!!! It’s shining like crazy now!! I bought the watch at night and I didn’t give it a chance. Sure love the watch.
you need to but a 1000 lumen flashlight , ghere like 20 bucks, they light up the lume great 😌

so i inherited my grandpa"s which is exactly like yours but it goes to 150M and it has a different seconds hand with the lolipop on the "correct" side lol. You didn't mention the reference of the 1977-88 that is the axact same one? Mine doesn't have hacking.
oh and mine doesn't have the drilled holes for the wristband lol

Watch Addiction Watch Reviews really? I thought 400$ at best. No plan on selling it anyways as it's got sentimental value. One question... i was wondering if I should change the bezel insert that is all scratched and missing the loom dot on top, maybe also change the scratched glass to a new one or even upgrade it to saphire... get the looms on the dial repainted because they aren't really phosphorescent anymore... and get a new strap like the one on your model (don't know how different it is from the original or if there is any way to find the one from the original model?). I don't know if it's best to keep it rough or to bring it back to its former glory... the patina touch is cool... i wear it on a leather strap or on nato... when on nato i treat it as a beater. It's from the late 70s and still runs perfect.
most vintage watches with non original parts are worth a lot less. If you want to swap parts - save the old ones

mine is stamped “made in china” on inside case back…..bummer……and only tested to 5 bar (166 feet) I paid $280
