Once you realize where you are going it's easy just to sprint to the other end of Blighttown, but when you are in the middle of the rafters it is an unintelligible mess with no identifiable features. It is so easy to fall down a hole or take the wrong ladder and just end up in some random location where you get completely lost. I've played through Blighttown three times and it legitimately makes me feel claustrophobic every time
I’ve played through Blighttown multiple times and I felt like I know the area very well but once I went there to get Power Within spell for my SL1, I got completely lost, just like you said lol. It’s also really hard to describe a path to an item to someone, you go like “so it’s there somewhere on the scaffolding with a ladder something something” 😆
Blighttown and sens fortress are actually 2 of the best areas from any of the games. Tomb of the giants doesnt belong on this list. Izalith is the only truly bad level.
@@asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa8725 i can't stand tomb of the giants. But blightown truly nails the I'm so far away from home how am I ever going to get back there feeling and then that bonfire at the bottom is like that's great but wtf do I do now
It's funny because I literally share his exact thoughts word for word on Iron Keep. I genuinely love dark souls 2, but Iron Keep made me understand why so many people hate it
Oh yeah, like I said in the video, I love DS2 deeply, it’s not even a love hate relationship but I totally understand why some people hate it and their hate is completely justified 😁
Whoot whoot, finally someone who acknowledges that on bad days, Sen's Fortress can be as frustrating as Blighttown! One can have good runs and get through it fairly well. But on the days where the video game gods don't smile on you... ooooh boy. That's why I always found it unfair when people are hating on Blighttown but never even mention Sen's Funhouse of Fuckeries.
Sen's fortress is great when It comes to level design but men It can be such a brutal and a really unforgiving and frustating area, definitly one of the hardest areas in any souls game, and a huge jump on dificulty for sure Overall is decent, i disagree with the positioning on this video, but i also don't see why people loves this area
Both Blighttown and Sen's Funhouse are so iconic they became a common noun at some point and I think there are worse areas in DS1 (hello seath runback). I included them both more for their iconic status
Is it only me but in ds1 people don't use miracles. Minor healing was a life saver! It is very useful when you go throu locations and small sqirmishes. I also alows you to have full hp before bosses
I think Blighttown and Sen's Fortress are areas that "used to be sucky" back in the day and calling them bad nowadays is a cliche but I still wanted to include them because of their cult status. My fav in DS1 would be Darkroot Garden, there's something magical about the atmosphere there
I hated the runback in Tomb of the Giants! This one bonedog i couldn't not agro kept destroing me. I kinda like how it destroys your bulid. Becouse it forces you to play with weapon in one hand.(I was using devine scimtar for most of the game and before Ornstein I made Chaos Blade) But it must suck when spent all your materials on two handed only weapon :(
With Master's key you can aprouch blightown when you can two shoot anything inside then it's kinda fun location. But Sen's Fortress frickin sucks! No matter the level you will be screwed XD I still rember going to Andre from Anor Londo without the Lordvessel
I feel like most people who hate on frozen fuck lands don't really understand it. The community is hellbent on "soloing" everything and being a pretentious asshole that no one has friends to play with anymore. The bonus areas in the dlc are scaled and MEANT for multiple players, and with those players, it's a fun time. The concept of going from building to building hiding out from a blizzard is a neat idea with fun execution. I honestly think it's very telling that it's number 1 on your list, a very large woosh. Genuinely though, can we stop pretending like other souls games haven't made way worse areas...because with co op that area is genuinely not that bad
I also feel like Blighttown and Sens Funhouse are the locations everyone kinda likes now. Bringing up and referencing Blighttown when you are going though a tough area is like in these Steam reviews in the difficulty section the hardest is called "Dark Souls" 😆😆😆 Blighttown is a normies difficult location
@@MightyMelvo The only areas that can macht frigid outskirts are the other optional DLC areas of ds2 ( iron passage, sir alonne memory and that cave on shulva )
Let's be honest, Dark Souls 2 could have a top 10 by itself. Cave of the Dead, Iron Passage, Memory of the Old Iron King, Black Gulch, Dark Chasm of Old, Harvest Valley and Earthen Peak alongside the others from this list gave me more frustrating experiences than Blighttown, Sen's Fortress and Farum Keep ever did

We all love Quelaag. For the lore!
For two very big lore reasons

Quelaag's lore indeed is very good. Both lores are!
Two voluptuous perky bits of lore!
Not surprised DS2 have most entries and it takes TOP segment...
still loves replaying that game

Next video title suggestion: Best Vacation Getaway Spots in Soulsborne Games.
My number one getaway spot will always be Majula
Yeah, it is by far the most pleasant hub. The second being Dark Souls Firelink Shrine. @@MightyMelvo

Hall of shame! Lol Great video, Melvo 🔥
Thank you ❤
Constipated snowfield. Right there with horsefuck valley.
Yeah, fuck snow!
"Reindeer fuck land" Lmfaoo Another great video melvo! I hated frigid outskirts T_T
Cheers mate! And yeah, everyone hates Frigid Outskirts for a good reason haha
Both Iron Keep and Shrine of Amana are in my opinion only bad in the SOTFS Edition, since theres a lot more enemies crammed into these both.
I felt like it wasn''t as bad in SOTFS actually. Maybe because SOTFS was my second playthrough
Amana in SOTFS edition is not that bad, i don't even think amana is a bad area overall, if you take It slowly though
I missed the bonfire at sens fortress 😂😂😂
The only reason I didn’t miss it on my 1st play through was because I got a hint 😆
@@MightyMelvo that's what I get for going in blind I memorized that place like no other 😂

Why do people say "including Elden Ring" still.... no sht... it's a soulsborne game
It supposedly helps the algorithm but I agree it’s cringe 😬
I'm sitting here thinking... Yeah, I'll probably never play DS2 again. haha
That's what we all say at some point. And then play it again 😆
Why? It's a fantastic souls game and genuinely a great time. Cool lore, great build variety, good fashion souls, great dlcs...

Yep, I 100% agree with you but I wanted to gather areas from all the games. But the fact that my top 3 areas are all from DS2 speaks volumes haha
Harvest valley is not that bad, but also, that catacomb area is really bad ( the one with the bells gimick and the cool door enemies )
ds1 taking half the list
Undeservedly
Dude, you're going to loose credibility when you say things like "+10 Black Knight Sword". The devil's in the details.
I guess I should've said +20 for my sarcasm to be readable 😬
