Une vidéo comparative entre les fameux Roland JV-1080 et JV-2080.
Les patches du JV-1080 ne pouvant avoir qu'un seul effet - là où ceux du JV-2080 peuvent en avoir jusqu'à trois simultanés - ont donc été utilisés sur les deux synthés pour pouvoir être reproduits de manière identique.

The JV-1080 patches can only have one effect - whereas those of the JV-2080 can have up to three simultaneous effects - were therefore used on both synths to be able to be reproduced identically.

J'ai souvent lu que le JV-1080 sonnait plus chaud, plus rond que le JV-2080 ; c'est ce qui m'a motivé à faire ce comparatif.
Avez-vous pu constater quelque différence dans le rendu sonore entre les deux synthés ? Personnellement, je n’ai rien remarqué.
I have often read that the JV-1080 sounded warmer and rounder than the JV-2080; this is what motivated me to make this comparison.
Have you noticed any difference in the sound reproduction between the two synths? Personally, I didn't notice anything.

Thank you for the effort. Hard to hear any difference. UA-cam is not the best for audio. Are the sounds in your demo factory presets or some expansion sounds btw?
@@Average-Al Hard to hear any difference because they sound very close to each other. Both JV-1080 and 2080 are really similar.
As mentionned in the description, I used the factory presets of the JV-1080 in both modules.
@@ed_synth Yes, that is what I mean. If there are really small differences they may be blurred and lost in the UA-cam compression. If was not clear in the description what the patches are, maybe lost in french translation?
@@Average-Al Even without compression, I cannot hear difference.
For the translation, I do with my little level in English, I'm sorry. 😟
If there is any difference it is probably so small that it is only possible to hear with with really high end speakers and straight from the synths without UA-cam compression. And it has no impact in a full song. I think I will get a JV2080 when I see one at 200 euros in my area.
I was expecting the 2080 to sound better, but the 1080 here sounds better

Il y a une différence, mais c'est subtil... sur certains sons, le 1080 est plus dur, plus percutant, alors que le 2080, certains sons sont certes généreux aux niveau harmoniques, sont plus profonds, mais du coup, plus lisse, au final les deux sont bien, ça reste une histoire de goût et du type de sons qu'on a besoin ou du type de prod. C'est comme ceux qui, comme moi, aime le SY22 ou le TG33 😛 (alors que c'est de la pauvre FM rudimentaire digne d'un PSR des 80's, et des AWM en 12bit 😆, bon ok, après il y a le coté vectoriel, ce qui sauve tout en fait)
Ça doit être très subtil en effet. Mes esgourdes n'entendent aucune différence. La vieillesse sans doute. 😉
@@ed_synth C'est pour cela que certains qui font des VS, affiche l'image d'un oscilloscope, pour pouvoir voir la différence, tellement c'est pas évident de s'en rendre compte. Et oui, l'age ça aide pas 🙂
@@BliterTVJe pense que, pour un synthé, une différence sonore doit s'entendre, se ressentir, pas se voir. Sortir l'oscilloscope pour ça, ça frise la s*domisation de drosophile. 😄
@@ed_synth Dans une normalité normal, oui, mais on sait bien que parfois, nos émotions et notre nostalgie nous aveugle les oreilles 😆
