The best part... Kubey's branding is NOT ON the main part of the BLADE! It 'hides' a little bit. Kubey has sweet designs - just needs to stop making their brand so big on the blades... It ruins the Ruckus' blade 'look'.
You’re really strecthing the nitpicking for a budget knife….its better than most much higher priced knives…get ‘em now before the prices rise….its Spyderco or better quality for 1/4 the price….get several!!!!

Interesting blade shape, I just order the ku162 and ku104...both are definitely thicker blades than this. They are my first kubey's so we will see how they do, they both AUS10A. Which seems pretty comparable to D2 Thanks for the video man.

The ku122 has that cool fidgeting factor I'm looking for so as the sencut. Really tough choice. Thanks for the taking the time to replay. Big fan here.

It's the tan KU291 Vagrant with a different blade. Really. That handle is identical. They even have the same shape thumb hole. OK, this one has the deep carry clip and no back-spacer. But I'd be surprised if you couldn't just transplant the blade. Pity they didn't stick with satin AUS10.
I know you don’t really love lanyards but this would be a good one for a lanyard that way when you push back on the jimping you would have some pinky grip.
Have both, can confirm it's the same handle with different blade. The thumb ramp on the 122 makes it feel so different from the vagrant. Really like them both though
just received the KU122 and enjoying it quite a bit. it's lightweight, easy deployment and it carries well. I'd like to see it come out with a better blade steel because I would buy it also. thanks for the review!
Grabbed a kubey karaji spear point a while ago and their knives are really cute. Unfortunately the quality / qc leaves much to be desired. Knife was very oily on the inside and the blade centering was off. Adjusting torque couldn't fix it which means the parts aren't manufactured properly. It's a pity. They have great designs.
If you have only handled one kubey, I don't think you should form an opinion I've had dozens, and most of them were fantastic aside from a few of the very cheap ones which you can expect, but over the past year they have made huge improvements and they don't come oily they come in a sealed package that you have to cut open, but out of over a dozen kubeys none have been off center, one had blade play, lucky I knew better from having awesome ones to judge them off that one which is still a good knife. And some of the knives shipping from overseas come oily, it's better to get oily than rusty, they have a long way to travel but in the past year or so they all have been in sealed packaging

I really enjoyed your review....and I love Kubey and it's been a few years now that I've seen continuing improvements for the brand. The drawbacks that you see, I see the same, and I hope someday that beadblast finished blades will disappear....just simply disappear. There are beautiful knives i haven't bought because of that finish and wishing it was stonewashed....more in line with the stonewash of ZT'S and Kizers.
Love the design just wish it was bigger, 3.5" - 3.75" i dont have big hands i just prefer bigger knives no matter how many small knives ive tried i always go back to a bigger blade.
This knife looks great for a budget knife guy like me. I am glad the clip is not inset because the other scale would be too and this is something that would keep me from buying a knife unless I plan to make my own scales. This reason is why I have not pulled the trigger on the Baby Banter. I will buy this knife and inset the clip myself.
You would rather the clip work more poorly that have a cutout on the other side, I personally don't mind the cutouts and kind of like when they use inserts to fill the cutout, I think it looks cool

Looks a bit like a modern spyderco. Even the full flat grind looks like most full flat spydercos. Pretty cool.

I think the blade shape is copying the Amtac Northman. A great self-defense blade shape.

The plunge grind on mine is much closer to the handle than yours. There is definitely more room for sharpening

I haven't tried the Artisan, the HONORIS and KUBEY are similar in ways but the Sencut is a bit larger. Tough choice

Inserts would be nice. I wish that knife makers would make extra scales without the cut out and sell them for a small fee.
