I appreciate that you kept the deck about Energy. I was really sad when the Command Zone basically said you might as well not even bother with energy and just focus on ETB's.
@@GrazzetMTG personally I added mirror box to my build so I could keep any copies of liberty prime or other legendaries. May throw in mechanized production as a potential win-con.
@@KingRhogin well to help you out the fallout science already has a mechanized production in the deck itself so if you got that you're already ahead of the game and I'm not sure if it's even that expensive a card to get. Want mechanized production really fast and it's not cheap or unfair no joke enchant it to any artifact token you have seven of and watch yourself win rather quickly as mechanized production just enchants an artifact you control there is no specification as to what kind of artifact it has to be. Happy gaming >;).
I'm looking forward to picking up some singles from this deck amd MH3. My Dr Madison Lee deck basically has 3 commanders depending on my mood: Lee for slower value and consistency, Liberty Prime for voltron-y smash, and Satya for go wide ETB value smash. It's been great fun
Great Deck Tech as usual Grazzet, super useful ! I am surprised to see that you ended up not removing Goldspan Dragon and Professional Face-Breaker as you were mentioning in the precon in-depth analysis vid that it didn't have much meaning here (agree with you). What would you replace these two with ? (I am 100% saying this because these would be amazing additions in my Mr House dice roll/treasure deck :) )
Another upgrade that fits and goes along with “Aether Revolt” is “All Will Be One”. Deals x damage to any target when you get x counters. Good upgrades and combining the two decks is great! Though personally I always keep Universe Beyond cards in their own deck/set.
Thinking Caretakers Talent and Agate Instigator from Bloomburrow, while not necessarily on brand with the futuristic stuff of modern horizons, would fit nicely in this deck
This is such a great upgrade list. Really focuses on what makes Satya so powerful without breaking the bank. The only real thing I disagree with is taking out Combustible Gearhulk. We have a high density of high mana value cards, so it becomes quite the gamble for opponents to repeatedly take the burn damage. Although I have also adopted the philosophy that milled cards may as well have been on the bottom of the deck instead of the next card I would have drawn, so it makes it easier for me to justify its inclusion.
not an energy card but eomer marshal of rohan seems to work well. he is legendary but when he sees a leg die you get another combat. so copy him the original sees the copy legend boom and you get another combat. then next combat you can copy him again and legend boom the original and the copy will give you another combat. seems decent
@Smokie1523 sure does he just needs to see an attacking legendary creature die. The copy you make is 1. Attacking 2. Legendary and 3. Dies. You do need to attack with the original in the second combat for the copy to see him attacking and then die though.
@xplod3r after further inestigation, you wont get endless turns. Eomer triggers only once per turn, and you cant copy tokens with satya, so you will get an extra 2 combats per rotations, but not infinite.
Thank you very much for the video! I know that I am a few months late but I just managed to find the precon here in UK for like 35£! That was a good price. For expensive upgrades, can we go with Elesh Born,Mother of Machine's in order to double our ETB payoffs ?And since we are generating energy counters, isn't "All will be one" good options for extra damage?
Nice upgrade as always. I am a bit surprised you recommend shocklands as further upgrades when bondlands or slowlands are basically as effective without costing you life. Shocks are superior only if you can fetch them.
That's fair. They were more of an example of what direction we would need to take the deck in if we wanted to get any more mileage out if it since we've more or less run out of "good" energy cards to add to the build, but you are correct - Bondlands, Slow Lands, the other filterlands, etc. would all be fine, more economical additions to the deck to help us get more mileage out of our landbase without breaking the bank.
yea it was a bit obvious almost every upgrade would be from the fallout "Science!" precon but clearly it was no choice since theres not that much energy support in the first place and they are all great includes and im looking forward to Ulalek and seeing your takes on cuts and upgrades for it and as for the side commander pull we all know the winner with either be Azlask or Coram
Thank you Grazzet!! I've only played a handful of commander matches over the years. Got a good deal on this and picked up the singles mentioned. What power level would this be at given the upgrades?
I would hesitate to cut Jolted Awake so quickly, for just a single mana it is an extremely flexible recursion spell and at its very worst it will always still cycle even if we're energy-starved. I would maybe cut Roil Cartographer instead, as it's a very slow way to generate energy and we have more than enough ways to spend it at our disposal.
I've noticed in these precon upgrades that you tend to keep the backup commander in the deck but cut most of the support cards for them. Is this an intentional decision? It seems like we don't lose much by cutting Cayth.
Depends on the backup commander honestly. In this case Cayth, while not what I would consider the "best" 4 drop we could run, still is serviceable enough in this deck as a means to get extra permanent token copies of our creatures alongside our commander while staying within the $35 budget of our upgrade. But in the case of the commander having little or no synergy (AKA - wanting to do its own thing completely independent of our commander), I would then cut them so they could helm a build of their own. Hope that helps explain my reasoning.
