Had a holly fuel pump,,, supposed to be lower than the tank within a foot of the tank,it's a pusher not self priming without it burning up,,mounted it like you did,,,also the rocker towers break and all the oil leaks out,,had to replace both rockers,,with used ones,,,had to change lifters they were caved in ,bad springs in them,always ticked,,,didn't have to change the cam as lifters were smooth on the bottom,,bought a cheap cam and lifter set,,,pulled intake installed lifters,,,year later still working great,,,,didn't change the cam,,,they sell dust covers for the fenders,,,had to buy insulation panels cause hood would give off steam after it got wet,,,mufflers can collapse on the inside,,makes car run hot,,,gas boils if there's not enough wind over the motor,,,bigger fan helps alot
for the love of god man...take a timing light to it and set the timing....its not the valves making that noise...its the dam timing is way to advanced...i cringed the whole you drove this ..oh that poor motor ...and dont run it on 87/89 octane gas ..put higher octang gas in it...
LOL. You should have tuned up that engine before making this video. That sounds horrible. Otherwise, that is a gorgeous car. I had a "65 Mercury but a 4 door sedan. Next time make sure the car is running right before you make a video. 😄
