Love the seats! I have the same setup with the Recaro rails and together with the seats they look so beautifully OEM in the car. Nice to see that you get the Sportster CS with the optional side airbag; we don't get that option in North America so I end up losing a pair of airbags in the car. But the far improved seating position and support was worth it to me. They completely transform the driving experience.

You can get side airbags as an option for these seats.
@@FAM571hey bro what resistors did you use? I’m having a hard time getting them to fully seat in the module. The wires bend.

Thanks for the video! I’m in Sydney too and my VA sti seats just aren’t low enough! I also want the airbag function retained so glad to hear it all work’s still. Did you get it engineered by any chance?
No problems mate. With the recaros seat and rails, it feels like you do sit higher than the stock seat at its lowest setting. I think it's because the base of the seat angles up from where your bottom is to where your knees bend. Also has not been engineered. If you get around to it, would be good if you could share where you went!

Do you have a pic of your seatbelt buckle set up? I know the seat belt receptacle is attached to the floor bracket. I wanna see what bolts you used.
Unfortunately I don't, but I'm assuming the stock bolts were used as I don't think the Recaro seats come with additional bolts for the seatbelt buckle floor bracket. I'm sorry I'm not much of help here as I got the seats installed by a workshop.
I’m also in Sydney bro and I own 2019 sti and can’t stand the Camry seats they come with. What was the cost of the recaros ? Subbed and liked too
Thanks bro! They are a more expensive seat, one seat + lumbar support +side airbag + Recaro seat rails was just over 4k

Hi, do you have any estimate how much taller it gets in terms of sitting position? Ideally i like lower driving position
It's really hard to gauge now that my stock seats are gone, but it's noticeable enough to make a difference. Personally, I don't mind it, considering I've taken it to track now.

Higher, they are higher than the stock seat at its lowest setting.

Does the heat function still work with the Recaro?😊
My STi didn't come stock with heated seating. I do know you can get the Recaro seats optioned with seat cooling though, not sure about heating.
