- Corrupted Blood was a virtual pandemic that affected World of Warcraft back in 2005, but its impact has now been studied by scientists for decades.

So this is definitely not what you’re probably used to seeing, however this was SO fun to make so whether you watch, or don’t - thank you 🫡
Never expected you to make a documentary like video.
And to be honest I think you could use some more detail. While everything you claim is true it is also so vague that all we get at the end of the day is an extremely vague understanding of the whole thing.
All the key information is there but you need to put meat on those bones.
For example : sure there were many different behaviour in reaction to the epidemic but what was the reasoning for those actions ?
Maybe going and trying to get the point of view directly of some veteran players could have added to your video as well.
Ofc those are only two suggestion what you could have done to make it better from the top of my head I am sure there are other things.
I wish you keep doing those videos and improving.
Excited to see you scratch your creative itch more! This was great. I only first played WoW a year or so ago on Classic, but learning the lore surrounding the game is always so interesting.
This is really well done. I love it. More please! Meow!
Oh, and is the music from one source? It sounds like a soundtrack. I like it a lot.
this is unique and refreshing... I clicked on it and heard your voice and was all like, " THIS IS RYSCU?!?" Cheers mate
Thank you Asmonbalding for this video.
This is truly really well made. Judging by Necrit when he started doing content other than league the views will not go up for some time. I enjoyed this as a only league player so keep it up mate I wish you the best
It worked for Rav very well, though
Now thats a surprise, and a welcome one
What an interesting topic wtf, I’ve never played WoW but this made me care about a topic I don’t know shit about
Aren't you his roommate or bf? Idk this comment sounds fake af
@@skrowploki2564god forbid he compliments his friend's video amirite
@vo_id. I said it sounds fake
@@skrowploki2564 Fair enough. It does sound forced. For how long his roommate had to be working on this, for sure he caught a glimpse of it and had some idea about the theme. And, besides, this one was already covered by a lot of channels, so most people have at least heard about it by now.
@@rupalthaus7071true thats really not a topic I'd see on a lol related channel this day and age considering there are so much youtube videos that have already done that before and better, league must be dry on content recently to having to resort to milk this
10/10 topic. I wasnt around in wow during that time but the stories were epic. Great coverage on it.
Again, your longform videos continue to blow me away.
Also the Asmon subtitles killed me.
I really enjoy watching game related documentaries like this. It was a surprise to see it on your channel, but I hope you make more!
BRO!! I actually love your style of editing!! I love this video! Congrats man
What an awesome opening.
Doesn't matter how many times I hear of it. That case study is extremely fascinating. I'd be 100% down to more content like this along with your usual league content.
I've heard this story at least 20 different times from 20 different creators, but it never gets old to hear about it.
I remember playing this game during this time, and spending so much time just being nice and trying to keep non-healers alive in big cities. There were lots of high level healers just dumping heals. Eventually, people gave up and just left as you'd heal 1 person to live through the debuff, and 20 others would die.
I wasn't a high level player, but I was high enough that I could live through the damage and usually keep people alive. Yeah, it just became too much and people dipped out and just moved on to other areas.
This video is so incredibly intriguing and the way you presented what happened was really enjoyable
keep up the great work!! :D love seeing you branch out with new content! the script, pacing, and editing of this vid were rlly good!! and i cant wait to see ur next one! :]
more more more! keep this up. your storytelling is on point. love the presentation and the material you've been choosing.
Well, that was a very entertaining surprise! I kept pausing the video and checking if it was really your channel or was UA-cam bugged, and maybe I am hearing someone else with your voice xD
But hey! that video was AMAZING, I have never heard about this story even though I have played WoW for a few years back in the time, I am excited to see some more content like this! Very well done, good job!
Interesting idea and study approach.
How far you have come. Exceptional content, thank you so much!
Not what I expected but I enjoy these kinds of videos. I remember when this happened.
Enjoy watching guys
Incredibly fun twist for a video. Much appreciated! Already shared with a few discord groups ;D
That Nexpo inspiration is amazing, keep it up
This is awesome man I like the new content!
THIS IS FREAKING INTERESTINGGGGGG I LOVE IT, THANK YOU FOR OPENING OUR EYES, RYSCU
Wow this is really good! Please do more videos like this!👍👍
More content like this!!
Great video.
super cool video thank u for this
WoW has had a lot of really fascinating events but i don't think any are more notorious than corrupted blood, especially since it was one of the earliest cases of a video game used as basis for a proper study
Thanks for bringing it to peoples attention ryscu, looking forward to seeing you branch out more
this actually looks so good
I always love people covering this topic. It's so interesting, and it's crazy how it came about.
This was really good! It isn't the type of content I subbed for, but that is NOT a bad thing! I'd absolutely love to see more stuff like this if you wanted to make this type of content
Ohh loving the new content
omg more clips like this for my lunch break PLEWAASE
Awesome video my bru
PHENOMINAL VIDEO!!!
phenomenal video
Big Video! During some parts, I somehow expected music from Oppenheimer as dramatic reinforcement haha
saw a tiktok about this a few weeks ago, i enjoyed this video. liked and subscribed :D
I think video essays are definitely your forte, plz more
Nice video esssay👍
I remember hearing about this
mate i enjoy your content a lot.
did not expect a WoW video from you at all 😂
Thanks for covering this. It was one of those internet things everyone who was around at the time will always remember. And a small thanks to UA-cam's subtitles for translating Asmongold as Asmonbalding, unless you did that, in which case thanks again.
Always love to see peoples takes on the Plague of 05
You’re very good at this documentary type videos, keep at it
great video 👍
Goes to show there is a subset of the general population who will use circumstances to act maliciously against others when they feel there is no direct consequence to themselves. We saw that during the pandemic online and later in reality. There are also people who love to profit from the suffering of others, also evident in both scenarios.
Great video and well put together.
Oh, I know this story well (experienced it myself ingame lol) but seeing it covered by you! I'll gladly watch it again. You put in so much effort in these it's lovely to see!
"no one would actually go out and get sick on purpose, right?" - riiiiight....... people licking toilets during covid high *cough* *cough*
I cant sleep now, thank you ryscu
I only play league, but I'm interested in medical stuff and I've heard so much about this from the pandemic mapping side, it's fascinating to hear about it from someone that actually plays video games
Absolutely awesome!
And I bet blizzard and no other company is ever going to go “it’s just a game it doesn’t model real life” ever again.
Let's goooo!
i dont play wow and this was really intresting and ty for the content keep it up
i really like the video. pls pls pls do so more videos like this i really enjoy it
This was unexpected and I enjoyed it.
I watch all your videos and this was one of the best ones but it didn't get recommended for some reason?
I already know what this is about without watching. I remember this fiasco - I was a kid then, and I'm 29 now. But i'm 99% certain it's about Hakkar from ZG and the corrupted blood plague that would stick to hunter pets. Shit was ludcrious lol.
I forgot about this!
I like the long form content
I remember MatPat making a video on this. I found it super interesting, and wanted to hear more
W video
The video was enjoyable to watch and I know what WoW is but I had no idea it was about it.
I would change the title of the video. Corrupted Blood doesn't mean anything to people that don't know it from WoW.
"The greatest plague that hit World of Warcraft" or something like that I would say
GOOD VIDEO!!!
Good soup. Thanks for the content.
whoa my respect for ryscu just raised... thats dope/goated.,. A WOW video!!. warcraft 3next please
Well,this ought to be enteratining
Not the video I expected :D
It's incredible how people don't take videogames seriously until they have to.
My guy trying to pop off by getting Asmon to watching this. I see you. I respect it
Ryscu WoW Arc (:
Hey man, i like your vids, but I have already watched like 3-4 vids about this topic so I wont watchi this one, but I did like the vid, and I'm commenting to try to help with algorythem stuff.
If wonder if there are more sociological studies done based on MMOs.
this story ahain, was a surprise
I was really worried the infromation in the video would be in accurate and if you would say things like how the curse was transferred with dismiss pet as some videos dont mention this fact. To my delight there wasnt any information missing, you even said the pieces on safe zones and quarantined areas.
woohoo!
Huntard... of course
Cool topic, but also the like 50th video ive seen on it.
watched the video anyway, and it was a really well made/edited video. probably one of the best on this subject tbh. Seems like alot more work/time/editing went into this video than the usual though.
so sad this didn't even get recommended to me
bring wow to its former glory
I think these type of videos are awesome. but im not sure if uploading them on this channel is the right move, they are going to not do so well because of the way youtube works, I really want to see more actual real content like this from you, than just league news, cool video.
It would have been so easy....
If(at zul gurub)then do dmg
Else remove debuff
Aight, I gotta fill my "put 20 bucks every time you watch a well-made UA-cam video"
man i don’t like wow but i’ll hit a thumbs up cause i know this a banger regardless if i get it or not lmao
did i just watch a wow docu... yes yes i did.
Cat!
Where’s my league content! >(
A genuine documentary with good editing?! Outrageous! I just don’t know what this channel is coming too…
Simulations are REAL 👀ツ

Just no in "magic way"
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Baaahh... This topic has been talked about 3 trillion times now in total. It was in mainstream once too.. godamn
bruh
how funny is it that this got flagged for co**d
First uWu
Talking about a virtual pandemic and the dumb UA-cam is giving COVID resources. This is hilarious.
This is not league...
No shit. Just enjoy it. If you can't enjoy it, appreciate that something exists that may or may not appeal to you. It's well-done.
@Veldrusara I would enjoy it if it wasn't made at the cost of League updates which is what I subbed for. He's missed a lot of balance changes
enjoy your vaccine guys xD
