It’s funny you mentioned the depression thing, and advice people to go and get a nitro car. This was exactly what happened to me. I am sure this hobby saved my life at some point. It sounds ridicoulous, but that is what it was back then. It is a very nice thing to have to go to when times get hard.
Can't beat a bit of nostalgia...do miss having a local model shop and even the smell while walking round, theres nothingin Leicester....what happened to the enjoyment of picking up things you want to buy..crazy. Another great video.
The trouble is this day and age, the younger generation wants plug and play, nitro is to much like hard work for them, they don't want to be nitro mechanics, much easier to pop a battery in and go, they don't know what their missing part of the fun is keeping it running and we'll maintained, I enjoy this as much as using them, I have a few crazy mods on the go, I love nitro👌 great video
Man I bashed TF out of the Revo's yesterday! All cleaned up and a little maint left and they're be as good as... they're going to get hahahaha. Will be taking the slayer pro out for some street time later today. Nice little rig you have there!!!
I am 61 and remember in the early 70's wanting my first RC vehicle. RC meant remote control in those days as radio control had not been invented yet. The vehicle was a Sherman tank that had a remote that looked like a walkie talkie with a wire connecting it to the toy! I saved all of my money like you for the year and bought it! It broke after only a few runs, Life does have it's moments!
Haggard, Since buying my Banzai, I have accumulated 3 more nitros.. I have an RS4 3 EVO+, Kyosho FW05T and the banzai.. and recently picked up an HPI WR8, and I'd love to hear your opinion on the WR8 after ripping the Rush.. I LOVE the WR8, it rips and just wants to drift non-stop out the box.. haven't changed anything other then giving it a tune and it just slides everywhere. I want to thank you for your videos, and everything you do for nitro in general to keep new people interested in a simple easy way.. some people just have some kinda quirk, yours is just being humble and easy going.. Thank you.
I do agree with you that people are not satisfied with a basic car anymore, I have a Kyosho mp9 and a mp10 and there build quality is exceptional as you know, but to build a good quality racing nitro buggy these days that is going to hold together at a race meeting your looking at around £1500, so basic cars are good for fun which is what a hobby is all about, another great video matey have a good day.

Gotta love the smell of burning nitro! As a matter of fact, your right about people wanting more and more stuff than having basic stuff. Some people don't want to put in the time of tuning a nitro engine and they just want to go straight for electric. I was in this hobby for 10 years and started with electric, few years later when I had a taste of nitro, there was no turning back! Keep doing what you're doing! 😎
I took full advantage of uk weather yesterday, got all me rigs out for a blast, what a day ❤ shame winter rain can put stop to it, i agree dude need more models to keep people involved in nitro
Still got my Blackfoot for the same reason pal. You don't need much more than the HPI it sounds clean now you've given it a run. Can't beat a blast from the past.
Still got my original basher Rush evo its hammered but still goes, and ive got an almost unused brand new shelf queen rush evo, my fave basher these beauties.
I was so hot mate, I took that coat off after I’d put everything away and it was heaven lol. 13°C and still like summer here in England apart from the wind lol.
No don't tell hpi to do that! it will be a rush evo e 😂 I love all nitro but the hyper7 is still my favourite. Can't wait to see what you swapped one for?? I have loads of hyper7.. they make me smile... yes from experience we need to get support from depression and mental health 🙏 having hobbies helps me in so many ways

GREAT run with the rush! I have the traxxas nitro rustler and it is very similar to that rush. I have an absolute great run with it every time.

One Nitro and one Brushless., nitro is great for light bashing and racing, the brushless one gets sent hard !!

@@HaggardRC yes. Here in Michigan usa we are 37 at night hitting 70f in the day still. Unusual, but great nitro weather. Best time of year is autumn!
