- In this video, the entire engine bay gets painted, the Volvo SX transom assembly is installed, and a custom trim harness is made.
Engine going in soon! Huge progress towards a lake test. Stay tuned for more boatbuilding to come!
Yeah... I re-uploaded this, Accidentally selected the wrong file at first. Oops! Enjoy!
Nice work thus far! Proving the younger generation has still got the interest and skills to work on stuff!
Thanks! Stay tuned!
Nice work 😊
Nice work. I'll be watching your videos to see how it turns out. The early 80's Cobalt boats are awesome. I'd like to own one some day. CS7 , CS9 and the CS23 I like the CM9 and CM23 too . Hard to find videos of these boats let alone somebody doing such detailed videos like yours . Good luck with the project.
Thanks for sticking around!
I too love the CS and CM series the BR series from the same era are also cool. Sometimes I wish this was a CS9 as the extra two feet would be nice... but there is a certain charm to a small 17' boat
Love the videos !
Thanks! More to come
Great job! I too have a 1982 Cobalt CS7.
Just wondering, when you cut the relief for tge Exhaust tube, did you recover raw wood with fiberglass mat to seal it? I know you painted it, that will help for a while, but you did such a great job making it better than factory this far? Thank you for the video
Thanks for the feedback! Those CS7s are rare and beautiful boats. Feel fee to share some pictures!
Yes, the reliefs were sealed with resin and shredded mat before paint; good question and valid concern!
