    Truetone has a MA Meter (milliamp meter)... very affordable. This is more accurate than sites because lots of the literature is wrong (Eventide says H90 is 12v @1amp... but the milliamp reader will read 500mah). Invaluable tool if you want to be sure.
    Dude you rock!! So inspiring!

    New to pedals, building and setting up pedal boards. I'm building my first for my bass. This video saved my life. I could not find direct and specific information on everything you covered for the life of me. Spending so much time trying to research and only finding vague information was becoming frustrating. You did such a good job of explaining everything; thank you. Life changing! Lol

      @AmbientBassCreations Wonderful! I most likely will. I have the Night Sky and am considering getting the Volante. I'm trying to achieve a specific ambient tone for the project I'm working on. Love your ambient bass channel. Thanks again.

    I bought a Cioks 8, and power it with a 24v-5A power supply, the best buy i could do. I have 11 pedals attachet to it, and the Cioks works great!

    I see the newer pedals are including the miliamps info. Many older pedals don't. The newer pedals also draw more than double and triple miliamps than the older pedals do. I burned up one of my newer pedals because it drew more miliamps than the power supply provided. Hard lesson!

    Just received my daisy chain cables but wasn't 100% sure about the connection, thankfully I found your video which removed any doubt, many thanks.

    Thank you so much for putting this out. For someone that was probably about to blow through time and money trying to plug in and play, this video is fantastic. Not to mention getting an explanation of why some power supplies cost more.

    Your channel deserves more subs and likes for the level of dedication and patience you put into your videos. I have 3 pedals for my bass:
    Proco Rat 2, EHX Bass Clone and a BOSS tera echo. I researched online for the milliamps, voltage (they´re all 9v) and found reliable info fortunately. When I get 1 or 2 more pedals, I guess it´d be better to get a small brick or a power source.
    Thx again.

      Thanks so much! Yes exactly. 5 or more pedals is a great time to invest in a power brick

    I have two center positive pedals ,just make sure I use the right cord and then can I plug them in the power supply or do the power supply slots need to be center positive? The Donner doesn't look like it has that so do I HAVEto use the power supply that came with the pedal and plug in at the wall or can a p- supply with the correct cord work? Thanks, it's a holy Grail neo that has the center positive,but I see lots of others like this too,thanks!

    • @AmbientBassCreations
      @AmbientBassCreations  6 місяців тому

      The Donner power brick requires cables with tips that are center negative. So even if you had a center positive cable.. only one end of the center positive cable will make a proper electrical connection which would be to your pedal.. but the other end of the center positive cable would not make the proper electrical connection to the power brick because it takes center negative. So the power supply slots need to be center positive.
      So you are correct, you need to use the power source that came with the pedal.
      Or you can search for a center negative female to center positive male adaptor.

    Great and informative video but I do have one question. How do I take advantage of a 9v plug that has 500ma. I have a bunch of 9v pedals that only need 100ma and I’d like to be able to just use 1 plug to power 3 of them. Do I just need to connect to 1 pedal or do I need a special daisy chain cable. Wondering if you had an answer, thanks!

    • @AmbientBassCreations
      @AmbientBassCreations  6 місяців тому +1

      Do you mean a single 9v 500mA output on a power brick? You can use a daisy chain for the 500mA output to power three pedals that require 100mA.

      @@AmbientBassCreations will a parallel daisy chain work coming off that 500ma output? Thanks

    • @AmbientBassCreations
      @AmbientBassCreations  4 місяці тому +1

      @@nuthinbutlove Yeah, you can power multiple pedals via daisy chain with that one 500mA output. As long as the multiple pedal's milliamps add up tp less than 500mA
