- Revamped and updated version (with 2 extra promos!) of compilation of local NBC station variants of The Peacock Network's 1983-4 fall image campaign, "Be There!." Each promo is arranged chronologically according to the station's dial position:
WESH-TV2/Orlando
WKYC-TV Channel 3/Cleveland
WBZ-TV4/Boston (pre-CBS)
WNBC-TV News 4 New York
KXAS-TV Channel 5/Dallas-Fort Worth
WLWT-TV5/Cincinnati (from what appears to be a WLWT-TV blooper tape!)
WPSD-TV6/Paducah*
WLIX-TV10/Onondaga (vocal and instrumental)
KTHI-TV11/Fargo (now KVLY-TV)
WWBT-TV Channel 12/Richmond
WTHR-TV Channel 13/Indianapolis**
WJAS-TV Channel 17/Jacksonville
Incorprates a reference to the Stephen Foster tune "My Old Kentucky Home, Good-Night!" (7:33).
**Incorporates a reference to the James F. Hanley/Ballard MacDonald tune, "(Back Home Again In) Indiana" (11:14).
The NBC station in my backyard, WDSU-TV6/New Orleans, had a version of its own ("TV6 There! Be There!"), but it's not in my collection.

I forget which website I heard it on years ago, but WSMV did a version that incorporated some of Gari Media's "Hello, Nashville" in the lyrics; Pat Sajak had a cameo at the end saying "Gotcha covered, Nashville!"

WNBC-TV Channel 4 in New York, NY and KXAS-TV Channel 5 in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX are NBC owned-and-operated stations.
I remember this promo as a kid and being from Indiana, I reallly remember the WTHR 13 promo...thanks for sharing that part...brings back memories

Ugh 9:56!!!! I love that roller coaster! I don’t live in Richmond VA, but I live an hour and a half north in Alexandria VA. The rebel yell (now called racer ‘76) is a classic wooden coaster at Kings Dominion in Richmond va.
