      From what I understand some of the Omega rubber straps cost $400 ballpark so not surprised a metal bracelet would cost over a grand.

      I bought a cordura strap like the one on the Silver Snoopy for $250. It is a great strap...nowhere near worth it and does not come with the deployment clasp. Years ago I wanted a rubber strap like the one on the 44mm Planet Ocean...I don't know if it came in a 20 mm...so I got one on ebay which was clearly a replica branded with Omega logo and wear it with a 40mm or 42mm Planet Ocean.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the review. I really like the look of the watch. The lug to lug is not 52mm, but rather 49-50mm. Lug to lug is one is something I pay attention to with a 6.5 inch wrist. Watch wear is subjective but i find that up to 50mm fits my wrist easily.

    I have this watch...it really is sweet and impressive. The price makes you take a pause. I fell in love with it when I first saw the ad in 12/19. I received it in the mail last spring. I guess my AD sent me the nato as an incentive because it was in a red tool kit with a card that said "a gift in appreciation for shopping with us" I find I wear the nato more than I expected so I am thrilled to have both. It is weird that I will have had the watch almost 2 years before the movie comes out.

    an almost perfect Omega. I want a no-date Seamaster, but my current Tag's aluminum bezel is beat to hell, so I've long since told myself that my next bezel would be ceramic.
    I'd actually most especially want the upcoming (kinda current) green Seaweedmaster with no-date.

  • @Plally06
    @Plally06 4 роки тому +1

    It's a surprising price point for sure. If they'd put it at $7,500 like a no date Sub at RRP, at least you could argue Omega might be trying to take advantage of the lack of availability of Submariners and then let the market fight it out over whether this and the Sub were equally matched. But given the stainless steel Seamaster is such a great watch at such a great price point, it's tough to justify this leap. Ignoring price for a moment, I think it's beautiful and the size would work on my wrist. It'll definitely appeal to Bond fans - and I am one - and to those who like classic divers but find the ceramic 2018 Seamasters a bit too bling. Personally I suspect Daniel Craig loves vintage Rolex subs like the 1680 with aged tropical dials and said to Omega 'I want that one' and they said, ok, we'll see what we can do. I'm fine with that. I think it's a great result. Kudos to Craig and Omega.

    I own what I would call the standard version of this watch, ie the black one on the bracelet. I wish I had gone for the rubber strap. The metal one is simply too heavy and has sharp edges. My opinions on this version of the Seamaster..It's way over priced. Just because it's made of titanium does not justify the cost, and the Bond thing is meaningless to me. I really don't like Nato straps either, especially good quality thick ones like these. All that bulky material looks and feels awkward. I do like single pass ones as an alternative. No date, fantastic!! The slimmer profile is also a bonus. Stick it on the Omega black rubber strap and knock 2K from the price and it's a winner.

    I had several Omegas in my time, from Speedy Pro, to two Speedy Reduced models (yellow and blue), from the original Bond Seamaster (but automatic), to Seamaster 120m quartz, and now Aqua Terra is my watch to go. I'm still impress with the quality of their products and love the brand and all that...HOWEVER, this one is so overpriced that it leaves a bad taste in one's mouth. When I bought my Bond Seamaster, the MSRP was around 2000$, maybe even less. Now, I get what Omega and Swatch are trying to do - Swatch group tends to put the Longines in Omega's spot from ten years ago, and to move Omega one notch above it, not unlike what Rolex did with both Rolex and Tudor. I wish them all the best, but there is no way in the world that I would pay 9200$ for this Seamaster. Overpriced, overstylized, and all that with so-so results...I think that fauxtina trend should go away, and I applaud Rolex for NOT doing it outside of some Tudor Black Bay models. Great review as always, though...

    $9200 on bracelet for an Omega 300 in titanium is the same list price as a Rolex Pepsi or Batman. I truly don’t think a $4500 Omega 300m diver should sell for 2x because they feature it in titanium and it is in a Bond movie.

    I would love to get it but the price is just too high. Alot more options I can get with that price range. The Ball Deepquest is a better watch for the price.

    The ‘Crows Foot’ emblem is used define it as government property. Nothing to do with the RAF. Bond would have signed for the watch. But it would have to be returned post ops.

    I agree with the comments, but for me the design of the Omega diver 300m diver is simply ugly for me, I don't like the skeletonais hads, I don't like the helium escape valve, I don't like the shape of the bezel is not that good for griping..., this is to my opinion why Rolex still number one...

    meh, another special edition from omega. not interested in the slightest (yawn) omega executives spend a lot of time in the board room every single day, trying to figure out why their watches are nowhere as desirable as rolex, despite the fact they've made tremendous advancements in technology and build quality to match rolex. this is exactly why, stop beating the same horse to death because it reeks of desperation and lack of creativity.
