Edit: I posted this like 2 years ago and now I do volunteer work at a stables every week I don’t get to ride but I get to be around horses it’s really fun so if any of you can’t afford horse to lease or own try going to your local stables if there is one and see if you can do volunteer work :)

With proper training and socializing you wouldn’t be able to tell many stallions well.. are stallions. People treat them so differently than other horses when they really aren’t. You obviously have to take certain precautions to make sure they don’t get in with the mares but they are still just horses. Many can be turned out with other gelding and be just fine! And with good groundwork they can be led in just a halter and have good manners!
Sorry that was my mini rant on stallions, they don’t need to be locked away in a box and handled roughly just because they have testes still😂

Hi Erin. Magnificent horse. I grew up in a horse family; cowboys to be exact on my mother's side, in the Rocky Mountains of Western Canada. The horse of choice is the Quarter horse. Mother used to barrel race competitively. Her last horse was named "Mile High Sabre Dance" or "Sabre" for short. In 2012 I had the totally unexpected surprise and pleasure of riding one of Secretariat's grandsons just outside of Moscow. He participated in around 17 high level races and won 13-14 of them. After racing he became a circus horse (Russian circus) and was basically left for dead. My Russian friend's, son's, mother-in-law rescues horses at her stable near Moscow. It took months of rehabilitation to restore the horse's health. I spent the day with this incredible horse. He came with all the paperwork/certificates from California. T'was a thrill of a lifetime and what you call a "Russian Surprise". Keep up the great work and thank you for the video. Cheers.

you should do horse asmr like basically a day in your life as an equestrian but in asmr (hoof picking, walking horse on concrete, treats and crunchy carrots) because honestly your voice is so calming 😍

Ive never been into dressage but I can appreciate it. The training and skill and disapline for both rider and horse. To me it just has never looked fun for either. But it is beautiful.
I used to be the same way but it truly is amazing when you have a true connection of communication with your horse and the feeling you get when their doing upper level movements

Do some pressure release ground work with him and he won't be so pushy. Plus you will have a great relationship with your horse the better you understand him .He is beautiful and you seem to be doing well with him anyway. My horse is a huge black Morgan. Well the horse I have been riding for the past 3 years.
