- This is the same Mama Koala from the previous video (Mama Koala Visits For A Drink). She couldn’t quite get her bottom into that water tub ☺️ These are fortunate koalas and haven’t been affected by the fires 🙏 I’ll keep you updated on any new encounters.

So good to see this Koala enjoying his pool. They deserve to be happy and healthy. Most will take much much longer for their burns to heal. It’s painful and miserable agony for those burned.

Koalas are such individuals. Social unsocial, or indifferent. I think more Koalas are having more human contact.these days. I was shocked by videos of so many injured Koalas, all in a tent and all in laundry baskets. Many being released and some not. And I was so hopeful for Australia with all the people pitching in.
25000 Koalas died on Kangaroo Island alone, and 500 survivors have been treated. However, most do not have a habitat to return to atm.

How have you been, Alicia? Is that 2020, or another koala paying a visit? How are 2020 and Leona doing? Well, I hope. Have you been getting some of the rain? I've seen the devastation on Kangaroo Island and it's so heartbreaking. For certain it looks like something right out of mad Max. 40,000 koalas gone, though - that just tore me to pieces. Heaven only knows how many kangaroos, wallabies, birds, reptiles, livestock, and gracious, humans, too! lost their lives in the fire. Half the island, just gone. It was horrible. But, at last, it's finally raining, so my prayers for that have been answered. I prayed the fire would pass you by. Another prayer answered.💖 Spoke to Katrina at Koala Gardens. She said the fire came close to the Southern edge of her property but kept going, and her koalas have been playing in the rain. I keep you all in my prayers every day to make sure you gain extra strength to keep going. I’m so glad the koalas know they are safe with you! Kisses to Leona and her mum for me! Sorry this got a bit long!💖💖💖💖

About the only animal more helpless than a koala in a fire would be a sloth

LONGER. These poor babies. Because of the STUPID HUMANs they now have a predator to kill them. So sad. I know we didn't mean harm but thank you love for providing relief for this sweet animal.

Some human have also killed them in 2010. Killers have never been arrested. VIC and QLD have very weak law for protecting Koalas from fun shooters.
