One of my all time favorites. Freddie’s range is incredible! This was just Freddie and John Deacon. John played all the instruments on this. Brian and Roger wasn’t interested in being involved this song.
“Exercises In Free Love” was reused later by Freddie. Spanish lyrics were added, and it became “Ensueño”, a duet with opera diva Montserrat Caballé, recorded for their 1987 album Barcelona.
On wiki it says Freddie played the electric piano. I cant find anything to verify it. He refused ti play it in 75 , John took it home, learnt how to play it and wrote you're my best friend. Maybe Freddie was willing to so John was doing it all?
Also - You should listen to Impromptu at Wembley ( both nights ) and Rock in Rio Blues ( second night ) - that is where You fully understand what this man was capable of 😂🤷♂️👌
One reason why Queen was able to play music in so many different genres was Freddie's incredible versatility as a singer. BTW another song he sang in the same style is "Pain Is So Close To Pleasure".
Great reaction! Haha I just mentioned this song in your other reaction not realizing you did this today. This is a Freddie and John song the other two band members were not interested in being a part of it. So all the instruments are mostly John and some Freddie.
This one comes courtesy of John and Freddie, it wasn't to Brian or Roger's taste so neither took any part. What we have here is Freddie on vocals (naturally) whilst John took care of the rest. One of my ultimate Queen tracks.
Even seasoned Queen fans might not recognize this as Freddie. There are a few tells. I would think this was a Motown artist. One of my favorite songs for another Sunday is Princes of the Universe. It was written for the Highlander movie soundtrack, and I especially like the first 1:30. The main character is played by Christopher Lambert, who makes a cameo in the video.
I knew this one would catch your attention. It's one of my favorites. Freddie and John grooving through the whole Hot Space album just shows a different flavor that I love.
I always look forward to hearing your comments. Another early Queen song you might want to check out is Liar at the Rainbow. The whole band is showcased but particularly John’s bass & singing with Freddie.
According to another site: Another Mercury/Deacon collaboration pushing the gay funk pop influence to such an extent that neither May nor Taylor had anything to do on the song (that’s John on guitar and drum machine). But as you seem to be the expert on every Queen video I see, I’ll defer to you…
@@lynnhoffman247 ? You said John didnt use the drum machine. I only reffered to wiki. You claimed I was wrong by using an article that says John did use the drum machine!?
@@bluebell3720 I said John did use a drum machine and referred to another website that backs that up. Wiki isn’t always correct, but then the website I looked at could be wrong too. Anyway, have a great afternoon ✌🏼 Edit: From Queenpedia - Musicians: Freddie Mercury - lead and backing vocals, electric piano, synthesizer John Deacon - bass & rhythm guitars, synthesizer, drum machine
Freddie sang the following songs in Falsetto - Cool Cat, Soul Brother, Dont Try so Hard ( amazing piece of music and message ), Pain is so close to Pleasure and most of Under Pressure.
Wow, what a range both in voice and style! So many requests and so little time but I think you would really like "The Miracle". Great message and they have kids involved.
Yes - it is a bit different.. Freddie could always do falsetto, but this is the only song that he did entirely in falsetto -- Roger and Brian wanted nothing to do with it.. so it's just Freddie and Deaky (bassist) lol I like it, personally, but I know some fans who kind of hate it.. but.. how can you not love that voice? amirite?
I don't listen to this one often but it's a great song...good reminder. I have some suggestions. I used to have a better idea of what you've already done so I may have some here that you've previously reacted to. Now I'm Here, Play the Game, Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Sheer Heart Attack, White Queen. Yay Queen Sundays!
Hey Rad, can I request a song from another Canadian? He is a blind guitarist and he will blow your mind. Jeff Healy is his name and can you react to the live version of See the light? It’s the one on Night Music. Take care Rad.
Suggest you do Tenement Funster” Flick of the wrist “lily-of-the-valley they were made to be played together. Try to find where one song end’s and the next one starts, also who’s singing. Glad your back btw 👑
Freddie and John composition. xx
One of my all time favorites. Freddie’s range is incredible! This was just Freddie and John Deacon. John played all the instruments on this. Brian and Roger wasn’t interested in being involved this song.
All men can sing with the falsetto technique but only Freddie has this beautiful and powerful voice tone. Great song!
When Queen lets the bass player & the singer collaborate - you get a smooth song you can dance to. Queen's genre should just be called - Queen. :)
Another John Deacon song. Freddie sang the whole song in falsetto or head voice. Beautiful song, thank you.
EXERCISES IN FREE LOVE is Freddie's operatic vocal...no words sung just Freddie vocals of notes...if you haven't heard it before give a listen
You really should listen to this one.
YESSS PULEAZE...
"EXERCISES IN FREE LOVE"!
“Exercises In Free Love” was reused later by Freddie. Spanish lyrics were added, and it became “Ensueño”, a duet with opera diva Montserrat Caballé, recorded for their 1987 album Barcelona.

When Freddie describes the imcident with Bowie, he refers to it as one of "my" ( i.e., his) songs.
Great song .One of my favourites .
Love this song!!
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU

A winter's tale is another great song by Queen.
The last son Freddie wrote
Simple but beautiful.
But shows such strength of character
@@bluebell3720 I know, terribly moving isn't it.

Omg! I’m obsessed with both songs…Freddie’s amazing falsetto!!!! I thought I was the only one.

Dreamer's Ball live 1979 Paris, Breakthru, from the Innuendo Album official video, and I'm Going Slightly Mad official video.

Freddie’s falsetto & John playing all of the instruments except for using a drum machine. 🔥
“Don’t Try So Hard” or “Let Me Live” soon? 🙏🏻🤗👋🏼

Including drums

Freddie falsetto 😍
Yay! You always make my day Rad! ❤️❤️
Queen doing R&B Soul
React to "Exercises in free love " by Freddie. It's opera.
Creat reaction freddie wrote this one don't know about John but vocals are insane no one like freddie just great voice ever love this song ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
I love your reactions! You GET it.
Try "Exercise in free love" 👌
One reactor said “Freddie could sing 20 different songs and you would think it was 20 different people singing!”😄
Lol very good observation
Loved this⭐️❤️

Funny : at first I didn't like it because I couldn't recognise Freddie's voice but with time it became one of my favorite…
