Sound is to animations what animation is to still images. I've been wanting to do this video for a while because I think adding sounds to your animation, whether it's diegetic sound effects (foley) or music is an important step that's often completely overlooked. I understand it's tough to step out of the image-based world and step into a whole new world, but with today's tools it's more accessible than ever. Don't knock it till you try it, and hopefully in this video you'll learn to try it. I'll be working on Premiere, even tho I usually do it on Logic or Garageband but I think Premiere might be more accisseble to most users.

Okay but why that ear in the thumbnail look so tasty though
well, using premiere for audio is like using a shovel to cut a tree. don't forget that audio is not drag and dropping stuff. that's why there's people doing sound design and you should try to collab with them ;)
Thank you very much for such high quality content, you are the best octane tutor here on youtube❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Hah appreciate it dude
WOW
mind blown.
god
My man Sid!
Yo .. the backing track on this is immaculate. Is it one of yours?
"Accessible" "Premiere"
yeah I don't think so lmao
good video btw
where do you usually get the sounds?
Personally I get most of them from Splice but you can literally find sounds on UA-cam and download them
or just hmu ill do it professionally and pretty cheap in reaper
If you don't wanna bother doing it yourself, hit our boy up!
Use Adobe Audition instead.
It's possible but the only problem with Audition is that you can't import a video, so you can't really match the sounds to the video efficiently
@@NewPlastic Yes you can import video into it, that's the whole point of audition, to do audio mixing and mastering for videos. :D
@@NewPlastic Uhhhh. yes you can.
@@tonytony87 Damn you're right! I tried importing a video and didn't notice the video window. Audition is obviously more robust for sound design, but honestly whoever is familiar with Audition has more likely worked with audio before. My main intention with this video was to bring the attention of people who never considered creating audio for their animations. They're most likely already familiar with video editing software so might as well start there, since you can get great results in Premiere!
