Buy solid chains 10k or 14k .. Preferably 14k. Stay away from hollow chains break easy end up being a waste of money.
100%, buy once cry once. Also buy a chain that fits your lifestyle, don't buy a dainty standard link chain if you're a construction worker, but also no need to get a mega chunky Miami cuban if you're a tennis player. Unless that's your style of course
Why not 22k ??
@@jayrjadhav3878 nothing wrong with 22k . It's one of the purest kart but it's alot softer n weaker but cost more due to the purity ratio .

Trax always keeping it real. Of course he would get the chain for less. And of course he would sell for more. Thats business plain and simple. He has to make a profit to keep business running and people employed. Once i get to the us. His shop will definitely on top pf my lists to visit.

Glad you got your property back. Thanks for the honesty.
Man those thick franco chains are fire🔥
Honestly
Do you sell 22k to 24k chains?
I could not be happier that I was a customer you ran from. A customer that wanted two 5 mm Miami Cubans yellow and white gold 14k 22 inches. I was willing to pay 2750 per chain for a total of 84 grams. You didn’t not do that sale woman any solids by running from me. But did me. Thanks for saving just about 1000.
Haha good thing you walked away . I just got a 14k 73 gramer Franco for 4k
@@ricardoflores5711 I just got my 8 mm hand made Cuban last week with a total gram weight of 126 14 k for 5200 and could not be happier.
@@bobfromcalgary8453 that sounds like a steal… where did you get it? I’ve been watching his videos to find comments that calls him out lol. You got the chain barely over scrap price…
@@jimmylin6566 to be honest. I cheated the system a little in order to get my chain so cheap.
I’ve had some gold coins kicking around and Lirys let me provide the gold and I only had to pay 800 in labour.
Which helped also with taxes. Being Canadian we could pay up to 18 percent more Being from Alberta it was only 5 percent on 800.
Now as for calling trax out. It’s not so much about his prices. And more about the way he talks to his employees.
I’ve notice over the last month he has been much better. And don’t want to throw hand with him as much.

I need one of them to get fixed and just two double check the other two... Thanks for the price on the bday gift... Looking forward to rock it... 😎👍🏽
I've said it once I'll say it again. Since Max has to keep repeating himself I will too. When you buy Jewelry from a Jeweler you are not privileged enough to buy per gram. The per gram equation is simply for a bass line. So you take the price per gram and multiple buy 3-4x. This gives you a basic brand new jewelry cost, if you're in that range you're good. If he gives you below that, then you should jump on it.
w my jeweler I take the gram amount and pay for 14k as if it were 24k end of story. If you got a good jeweler they won't double keystone your ass into an empty bank acct lol
So you're paying 24k Prices for 14k Gold? That's not cool.
Better than paying 3-4x at 14k... $34 per g at .585 x 4 is around $130. Id gladly pay $60 instead.

Man I’m looking around for my first gold chain. I’m in the market of a 14k Franco cause it looks so beautiful. I’m just trying to figure out what’s a decent price. I went to some mom & pop places and they charged me 4K for a soiled 3mm. I didn’t. Get it cause I wasn’t sure if it was really a deal or they just wanted to squeeze some money out of me since I was young.
Same
I saw one at JCPENNEY franco 3.3mm 14k 20 inch they wanted $3700. I will get one from this company next year.
Don't be stupid and pay that much for a low quality chain.. That was my mistake the first gold chain I bought
Goto JACOJE! They have the best Francos straight up. These places know that the people shopping their (mall stores, Jarred, Kay ect) charge INSNAE premiums for LOW QUALITY products and they themselfs know very little about the product they sell or even about gold, take advantage of the people who know little to nothing. You have to educate yourself unless you WILL get taken advantage of.

Pretty sure that rope chain is Hollow. No way a solid rope chain that size is 6 grams. 6 grams of scrap 14k is worth 202$ 07/23/21. Decent profit.
Yes it is semi hollow he stated that in the video. And I agree he is making healthy profit. You have to remember that we jewelers don’t pay scrap. We buy these at wholesale and pay labor costs. We end up paying closer to around $5-$7 per gram over scrap price sometimes lower depending on your relationship with your supplier and order quantity
@@gamblingoomer8450 💯💯💯
Wats the item number tho I still want to buy it it’s only 380 and when we melt it I can swell it for 215
Nothing is "semi hollow", just another BS marketing term.
A gold chain is either solid or it's hollow and the last link chain you wanna get hollow is a rope. If it breaks it can technically be soldered back but it'll look like crap.
Either way even if the diet Franco breaks since it's hollow, they can't fix it it it breaks and hollow chains are much more likely to do so.
They don't even both to fix them since it's too much of a pain in the butt and it's not worth it. Max doesn't wanna tell you that tho or the number of returns they got from when people who don't wanna spend too much on a GOLD chain, mixed with not doing any research other than and not really counting watching Trax videos. They go and get a chain from Trax because he's a brand on UA-cam and he's earned your trust he tells you parts of the truth that he wants you to know but not all of it. At that I admit he's a good salesman but he's not a jewelry, people forget that he's a wholesaler like any other. He's only as good as his product. People like this wanna sell you cheap quality, high premium chains so that they break or they don't solder the jump ring closed so you loose your chain and have to buy a new one. Someone point me out exactly what gold Franco & rope chain tips and tricks he taught or talked about? If anything just real basic but broad things that are basic again to find out. Aides that all he's doing is showing you really light chains and say these are the ropes and Franco's you should get.
Your already paying a premium, might as well get a SOLID quality chain. Could you get a nice solid chain from Trax? Yea, but it's going to cost more than if you did the research and knew where to buy from. It's going to cost a good bit anyway for a decent chain but that's no excuse to charge what some places like Trax charge.
Go out and do your research. It'll pay off.
Looking to move large quantities of Bullion, do you know someone who can handle it Trax ?
Apmex is probably the best website.

It's like wholesale. Buy in bulk and save. Then a little mark up to make your profit.
Except us jewelers only pay $3-$5 per gram on top of the spot price of gold. For 14K that’s around $37 for wholesale chains. If you consider his markup to $380 “little” on the chain that costs him less than $200 then you should check again. He’s making a very healthy margin on his website and continues to make healthy margins even when giving you these “deals and discounts” that’s the jewelry game. Start the price insanely high and just keep giving discounts and deals. Make people feel special when shopping with you and you’re good to go.

A 22kt hollow Franco would be too soft. Wake up with it crinkled and bent after a rough night out drinkin
@@shibbidydoowop very true! Also love the name. Big daddy was one of my favorite movies growing up lol the more pure your gold gets the softer your piece is. Which is why if you want something with a bunch of diamonds all iced out you always want to go 14k or below. I never recommend iced out pieces in 18k even with very skilled gem setters the stones will still fall out relatively quickly over time if you aren’t careful

Trax I have a question, I understand price point but why won’t most people buy 22k? I feel like it’s worth it more in the long run
Its a softer metal more damage it takes
@@valentinozientek5670 correct you don’t want hollow 22k gold chains like the one he showed. He showed a hollow 14k Franco which because the gold isn’t pure it can withstand being hollow and getting banged around a little bit. 22k gold chain would need to be solid and have substantially more weight and a much higher price point.
The higher the purity, the softer it is.
My sweet spot for everyday is 14k, and 18k for going out.
You don't want 22k because its too soft and scratches/damages easily. Think of the higher purity the higher delicate gold jewelry is. 22k maybe be nice for a necklace you were out on special occasions. Same with 18k. But for your daily wearers, chains/rings/bracelts you were everyday you want 14k. Also solid real 14k. It will be less delicate and you'll be able to actually wear wear it, everyday. Resilient to scratches, damages etc. Never buy plated, hollow or semi hollow unless you want to buy the same necklace again shortly down the road lol. Buy it nice or buy it twice. Buy solid real 14k and always go a size up from what you were originally thinking. You'll be happy you did, thank me later
How do you calculate how much a chain is worth?
Find the weight of the chain and the price of the item being sold divide the price by the weight and you will know how much you are paying. Hold to daily gold price and see how much the markup is remember you have to pay more , the daily hold price is not necessarily what the jeweler is paying it’s good to be a tad more.
You also have to figure what Karat 14,18, etc…
weight of gold, purity of said chain (karat) and how/where it was made. Those 3 things will tell you the value.
That's a good price
I love that chaint 14k gold 22 24.6 $1400 👍👍👍👍👍

All respect to the business but I find that these videos aren’t as educational as they used to be. It’s more of you just talking in circles and making sales pitches. Jewelers pay anywhere from $3-$8 above the current price of gold when ordering bulk chains at wholesale prices. For 14K that’s around $33-$40 per gram that us jewelers pay.
Is $3000 a reasonable price for a solid 14k gold diamond cut rope chain that weighs 62 grams? Im trying to buy diamond cut rope chain and shit you not I been looking for 6 months already. Gold is up there right now
@@unknownsource4359 I Paid 7,100 For 167 Grams I Gotta Hand Made 10.5mm Solid Miami Cuban Link Chain
You’re right that’s all he does is talk in circles. He’s a freakin con artist and a ripoff! He is ripping people off so bad with his prices the way they are. I recently did a live chat with one of his employees there looking to buy a 6mm 14kt 24in (solid) diamond cut rope. They wanted $5100 for it and I told them I could get it for $3065 and they never tried to work with me to make the sale or nothing, they just said I should “take the deal” . I ended up buying it elsewhere for that price but gave them a shot of my business. I’ve researched “max” and trax after this and they have terrible reviews for being overpriced. The more I watch him I keep thinking he’s that low end car salesman everyone warns you about. I would never ever do business with them! I spend a lot on my gold and have a lot of pieces but always always research before I’m spending paper on it.

It's 1800 per ounce not per gram. That's for 24k gold

Does anybody know what the stamp. R.E.L means on 14k gold jewelry?
Not fine gold but plated. There are legal standards for marking and if it is not 14K through and through, it has to have a disclaimer like "GF 14K" meaning gold filled or "REL 14K" but that I am not sure what it stands for. After looking it up, everything I can find with "REL" has been stainless steel with 14K gold plating.
I can’t find anything on it either. Meanwhile I paid $1600 for 35 g 14 karat yellow gold necklace. I’m now not 100% sure if it’s genuine. I bought it from the jewelry store in my mall who have been there for many years.
