Mulder thinks it's some supernatural and/or conspiratorial thing while Scully is skeptical? No! 😂 X-Files was very hit or miss for me. It kind of depended on how "silly" the phenomenon being investigated was. I (sort of) recently read a science fiction novel called Blindsight by Peter Watts. It's a relatively grounded alien contact story that includes some fascinating but troubling speculations about the nature and long term survival value (or lack thereof) of consciousness. I bring it up here because it includes one of the more interesting takes on vampirism I've encountered -- "vampires" as an extinct species of hominid with some traits somewhat like the mythical monster. Naturally, they're resurrected and tinkered with through the "magic" of biotechnology. It was all pretty fun. Have a good one!
@@BryanM.R.-prionic1 Now that sounds like a sci-fi book I could get into. Yes, X-Files was a bit sillier. If you want a more believable series with good scientific explanations that almost dare to compel belief then “Fringe” might be a good tv show for you. At least I thought it provided some good explanations. Now the jumping between universes is always hard to explain but the rest of it was pretty good. Some better than others.
Happy Holidays!
