- After finishing a long, emotional, heavy adult novel I had to take a break and read some Goosebumps! And boy was it much needed!

It’s good to have something quick and easy to read after a heavy book. I think Goosebumps is great for that.

I pretty much agree with your take on Ghost Beach - your take on My Hairiest Adventure is definitely spicy, lol - and It Came From Beneath the Sink is one of my favorites 😥
I would love to see you do a ranking once you're finished reading through the OG62; a tier ranking or a numbered ranking or whatever. I'm almost finished with Horrorland (been binging that series lately) so I'll hopefully have a ranking up for that soon. I would also like to do a ranking of all the Mummy stories in GB (there's quite a lot)- and of course including the new House of Shivers book when that comes out!
@@Monsterblood haha I figured not everyone would agree with my opinions on these books. But yes I’d love to rank them once I finish! Definitely a large task but should be worth the time and effort!

i’ve started doing this thing where one week out of the month i read what i call “junk food fiction” basically anything light/super easy to read- ie babysitter’s club, sweet valley, any 80s girly novel, etc :)
it’s good to take a break from the harder literature sometimes!!

"It Came From Beneath The Sink" is pretty much the only Goosebumps book that I remember reading. 🤣

That book is the peak of Goosebumps in school. After the sink one we were done with them as a craze. Yes more came out, but I'm speaking of kids fighting over goosebumps and jealousy in school for who had the new one.
I love the bookshelf! Goosebumps are so fun to binge. I get burnt out after a while too. You can always read a few as palate cleansers here and there in between heavier books. Fun video!

Ghost Beach is good as it reminds me of Welcome to Dead House but it lacks the more creepy implications, still, I remember the great writing in that one. very cool and spooky setting!
@@ZoeyDeLeonVA Yep, definitely a spooky setting! Not the most unique story per se but it gave off creepy vibes!
I always loved the cover for Ghost Beach. It took me forever to read it as a kid because the cover was so creepy.
@@ret6578 It is definitely very creepy. The story could have been a bit better but of course Tim Jacobus killed it with the cover as always!
I have not made it to reading these titles yet, but I will. I want to do the same thing you're doing, but not binge them cause I can't handle that, ha! Love the shelf!

Goosebumps are always fun, quick reads, love them. I really like Ghost Beach I thought it was creepy even if it was predictable and it has a cool cover. Not really a fan of It Came from Beneath the Sink or My Hairiest Adventure lol. Return of the Mummy was a fun one and I like stories about mummies and ancient Egypt. Cool bookshelf it looks great.
@@glendyc22 Thanks so much! I tend to have some weird opinions when it comes to goosebumps lol. I definitely tend to like some of the books most people hate. Then sometimes I think the “really good ones” are not that good. But hey, at the end of the day, it’s still goosebumps and a blast to read :)

I've read Return of the Mummy and really enjoyed it; I still need to read the first one, though.
Someone recently read Ghost Beach, but I can't remember who it was.
The cover of My Hairiest Adventure makes me think of The Monster Ring; definitely sounds like it has symbolism going on.

I think it's a great idea to binge on something lighter for awhile...you will know when you have had enough! On an unrelated note...Are you still doing bookmarks?
@@musicroom7185 I totally agree! I took a small break from bookmarks because of surgery. I am also in the process of getting some new furniture so all of my craft stuff is tucked away in boxes right now. I have plans to get back to it in just a few weeks though! I do have a bunch I’ve made in the past that I’d be happy to send out though! Just shoot me an email if you’re interested!
