Honda DVD-ROM is only for navigation DVD disc! One month ago I installed GA-NET car PC system in my accord. Now I can watch videos, use a lot of GPS programs. Iam happy now :D
I have a question is just my curiosity. On these old accords hybrid models. Does the navigation uses internet. When this car came the internet was not that good. How do the gps worked on these cars. how could navigation functioned if internet was not use. And now its impossible to use gps or navigation without internet. ???
I am getting the same message, "Please wait, downloading software" and almost immediatly it changes to "Please check your disk" on my 2003 Accord EX V6. Any suggestions? Thank you

@staycoollLT I would give you full details, but it's not my own car, and it's kind of late where I am to go look for the disc and car spec. Yes - it's the original disc (white). My friend already bought the newer version and since it's not cheap he wants a way to back it up. So I'm looking for a way to do it with the older version.

Car is 2003 Honda Accord coupe USA, but navigation sistem installed from Europe Honda accord sedan 2003. Before installing nav i had stock audio unit with x6cd changer.
@djdavedoc I think that it is better to make copy straight from original NAV DVD, as I did. I think if you are burning DVD from ISO IMAGE, it will not work. I made copy from original, and my copy is working fine. And as I remember I made a copy from another copy :) and its working fine too. But Iam not 100% sure. I used Verbatim 8.5GB, x8speed. 240min. DVD+R DL.

Raman Bleh Mine is saying "DVD disc is not installed" and when I try to put the disc from a audio shop, it says "DVD disc read error". i have tried cleaning the lense too, but the DVD i tried is from Japanese CL9, mine is a UK Spec tough.
@Carda00 So why do you need navDVD? You can install any PC navigation programm and use it from GA-NET :) I use Automapa and IGO. + Honda nav.DVD doesent have Lithuania maps, so I just dont need it. If you want I can make ISO file from nav DVD and sent it to you by skype. Or tell me where I can upload ISO file to share. ( I have USA accord 2003 coupe it has same front panel and navigation system installed from EU accord) :)
@staycoollLT I'm using Sygic Via GA-Net+. The point is that mine OEM nav is not Reading my Disc after I dummy have forced download on another in-commpactible 3.X disc. The navy soft Does more Thar naviation, it is used to setup clock etc. This is why I would like to try out to force download with yours. I do not have a share so skype is an alternative if accepted. Hi guys! i have a different problem, my Car did not come with any dvd's for the sat nav or the ac commands and TV, my radio has a green locked screen saying "Please insert DISK" but in Japanese!! if anyone has that software dvd in japanese or english please could you share the ISO so i can download it! its so frustrating not being able to use it, and i am about to waste a lot of cash to replace the whole shabang and really dont feel like it :)

@elaverdure I think your DVD rom is going to an end. Try to clean laser lens. DVDrom is main brain in this sistem. Try to enter sistem menu to check is everything working and reset system. In USA version it must be the same.

@id104335409 As I remeber white disc is a newer version 3.0...... it fits accords from 2006 or 2007 year. Versions 2.0 to 2.06 fits accords from 2003 to 2005. But Iam not really sure until what year version 2.0..... fits.

You should never program your home address into your car's sat nav, if someone steals your keys they can not only take your car but also use the cars sat nav to find your house and break in. Instead you should program 'home' as a familiar location somewhere close to your address.
Don't be silly. If you're that paranoid, you'll need to make sure nothing is ever left in your car with your home address written on it, as well as remembering to clear all journeys from the SatNav memory. Also, if they do drive to your address, with your car, they'd need to ensure you're not in....... Then there's the possibility that if no one ever steals your car you'll be having to always type in your address each and every time. Complete waste of life.....

Very often dvd reader die because of years. Try to use special laser head cleaning disc. But be ready to replace dvd unit.

As I remeber white disc is a newer version 3.0...... it fits accords from 2006 or 2007 year.
Versions 2.0 to 2.06 fits accords from 2003 to 2005. But Iam not really sure until what year version 2.0..... fits.
