900€ for this device in Greece when salary is 750-900 € a month is really bold of them and WITHOUT a travel /protective case. Thats some ducked up s***. How can they launch this without any promo bundle?!

Just got an dog ally z1x and its amazing even with the bad battery life. If the ally x adds more battery-life more rag and more storage id say its worth the price tag

I’ll stick with my Steam Deck Oled
Do not use the d brand travel covers of you use sleep mode. I’ve cooked my ally a few times now. Go into settings and turn the power button to go into hibernation when pressed and it will fix this issue and make it so you don’t damage your device. I wish d brand put this warning in the instructions or something.
maan sorry to hear about that, I received my Ally x (still havnt opened the box) because I’m waiting for a case and other stuff to protect the device. but I’m hoping that bazzite’s steam OS sleep mode/resume will be as good as the steam deck to prevent the over heating issue you mentioned 🤦♂️
If lossless scaling was on linux i would gladly switch to bazzite
It was a great stream and was very happy he showed the bg3 performance. Also blows me away that this can run on ultra at 30 fps at 900 p. It's so awesome
Stadia was a weird experience for me. I recieved a chromecast for free during the pandemic. I tried streaming over wifi with the chromecast and it was unusable. On my TV, I downloaded the stadia app, and connected my controller to my TV via Bluetooth and it was flawless. There were two major issues with stadia and the reasons why it failed. 1, the model of buying a game and to unlock it full potential you had to subscribe. That shady as hell! 2, instead of the controller connecting via Bluetooth or USB, the controller was connected via wifi, which created horrific lag.
Subscribing gave you 4k. Which most people don’t care about or don’t have the bandwidth for.
The controller connecting to WiFi reduces latency.
If you stream games to handheld, then OLED screen wins all day. If can’t stream, then maybe go for Ally X.
i’m playing ancents of the ooga on the rog ally using the steam deck app and i need to exit the game to get into the menu to exit my game but i cant seem to do it it will only let me get to the menu if i switch to desktop mode and press b is there away to make an exit menu button ( not use the buttons on the back of the rog) at the moment im switching from game pad mode to desktop mode to exit the game . my next question is have you played any star trek games as i need help with configuring the rog ally for star trek academy , star trek 25th anniversary etc they are pc games but i dont no what to do they run but i dont no how to configure them to work with rog ally joy pad and buttons i assume it possible also how do i configure theme park and theme park world and eccoquest the search for cetus which run though playnite and use dos box to run them
eccoquest the seach for cetus is on the website my abandoned games and i can play it on the website ok
really need your help bill as been trying get these games to work using the game pad controls and armory crate update confused me
it also saying press the x on the xbox controller but im not using my xbox controller and i can’t remember where that is on the rog ally
When is the Rog Ally X releasing in other localities such as India, Taiwan etc.. As we do have the regular Ally. Just would love to know the same

Would you consider selling the Steam Deck Oled to offset some of the costs to buy a Rog Ally X?
I'm thinking the same here. But I'm not sure if the extra cost justify trading the deck oled with Ally X. It does perform better but it's not a lot.

@@MrCoffee0996 Same dilemma ahahhaha I play sports games too like EAFC so this would help. Steam hasn’t released windows drivers for the Oled model which hasn’t helped either

@@louissolano9929 if you're mainly playing games that aren't natively supported on SD, I think Ally X makes more sense.
I’m considering trading my steam deck oled for rog ally x. I’m getting annoyed that I now can’t play fc24 and prob fc25 due to anti cheat, no cod or destiny all due to anti cheat again. The fact the battery has been doubled is another pull. Still waiting for dual windows boot officially from valve and still nothing
Hi, can the ROG Ally X run AAA or higher demanding games with higher settings than the Rog Ally?
You will have around 10% more performances
it's basically the same hardware, so performance is similar, the RAM is slightly better and gains very small performance boost as the other guy said
You get more stability due to higher ram , the lows will be better
How's the sound compared to the original?
You can hear the audio difference in my actual review I think, I can’t remember
@@NerdNest yeah I believe something is wrong with my audio, sounds really low compared to my old ally. Even retro game corps video audio test proves it. Maybe its some Ally Xs with this issue.

Some do. That obviously depends on the game and your settings.

Baldly Rudy(channel on youtube) got very bad ally X variant with bad performance and problems, be careful
He misused his Ally on purpose to make a “faulty” video for views. Don’t trust anyone fully until more information is available
