as far as I know, the song about her father "butterfly" is called so because of the occasion when a butterfly flew into the backyard of her house, on Father's Day, and she put it in her stories by captioning something like "this is my dad, he visited me in form of butterfly"

I can relate to her so much because I have been through almost everything she has. And it's sad. I have been through sexual assault, drug use, and I can slowly feel myself slipping into being an alcoholic. I'm trying to stop it. I've been abused physically, mentally, and emotionally. I feel for Demi so bad.
Definitely not. Let’s not make it seem like she’s the only one who’s been through many hard things because she voices it. There are many people in other countries who go through things like this. MANY people, go through these things.

You missed the part in Melon cake where she says, “I had too much of my fill (Phil) and turns out it wasn’t cheap.” It was referring to her ex manager Phil McIntyre who I assume she was just over dealing with and realized he was probably being greedy with her money.

I originally thought TWYDLAM was about her old team because it starts with "I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks cause you told me I shouldn't eat", but if Wilmer was critical of her weight then I guess that could be about him. Which is disgusting. Imagine encouraging your partner to have an eating disorder.
About "California Sober", that's essentially how I've handled my addiction recovery for the past decade and it's worked really well for me. People need to realize that recovery is not one size fits all and total abstinence doesn't work for everyone. If it didn't work for Demi, it's good that she's trying something different.

Demi has been through enough drama in her life she really derives more to this world she doesn't need to go through so much trauma of how she struggled with her own issues she derives to be happy in her life because I love her so much and she derives more happiness
I am a home body in quarantine and I can barely with my eating disorder. The fear of Being treated how I waz when I was heavier scares me to get help.

I am not a fan of Demi but I love how great her voice and songwriting skills are. She has been through several lifetimes of hell. Probably the healthiest thing for her to do is walk away from Hollywood and fame but I do not think she has anything else to lean on
It’s true she has nothing else to do if she leaves. She will continue to make music for the rest of her life because it’s what saved her life when she was struggling with suicidal thoughts. She lived by living for her career in Hollywood. If she leaves Hollywood it would do more bad then good for her. Hollywood isn’t the toxic place people claim it to be. There is dark Hollywood and elite Hollywood

really?? that's great to hear. i know someone that ODed in 2017 or 2018 and still smokes weed and cigarettes besides drinking alcohol, but does nothing heavier than that and she's doing great
@@hannalowercase5928 Weed is still a drug though. I don't know too much about relapse for an addict, but I know it's fairly easy to do that.

Do you think the fact that Wilmer wasn’t photographed with her until she was really thin again was because she didn’t wanna be photographed with him when she felt bad about her body? Maybe cause he’s a slim guy and she thought that she looked bigger next time him? Not saying that any of that is actually true. She looked amazing before. She’s looked amazing in every single weight she’s been. Just saying that maybe she didn’t wanna be photographed with him because of how she felt in her body. I have had an ED so I could see those being reasons why she didn’t wanna be in photos with him until she was thinner
I would be pretty surprised if Wilmer refused to be photographed with her until Demi was thinner. Men can be insensitive and rude and picky about women’s bodies and maybe her song alluded to him not being the nicest about her body or that about other past boyfriends but for him to actually refuse to be photographed with her until she reached a certain size or weight would be extremely surprising to hear about from any straight man.
She was photographed literally everywhere else and with everyone else during that time. And when it came to dates with Wilmer, it was very lowkey or they would depart the date separately.

Personally, I believe the "devil" reference is actually a temptation because the first lyrics state "I'm sipping as he pass me by, red or white, you pour another say it's fine." It seems like this guy isn't really a person and really just a manipulative aura but the song can be interpreted in various ways, so who knows.

This the last time, you won't take advantage of my innocence." Most likely referencing Malcom's OD, and leaving Pete because he's using some sort of drug. I think "I've seen the devil, I met him last night, had conversation yeah I think he's alright, seemed kinda funny, yeah he kinda my type." Is in reference to seeing her significant other high for the first time. She knows it's dangerous for her to still love a man who is using after what happened with Malcom, but for the first half of the song she goes along with him because he's still funny and loving while high. Until it gets to a point where he's either high all the time or over using.

I'm pretty sure the whole fanbase knows. 🤦🏾♂️ And she wrote it specifically after hearing Demi's Dancing with the Devil single, so she wasn't trying to write it in her perspective at all. Plus, although Ariana may be talking about that in her verses, that's clearly not what Demi is speaking of when she mentions "devil."

You said it perfectly "Demi's Choice" no one else has any bearing on HER decisions. Wether SHE chooses to smoke weed or drink. I truly think she knows what could happen and who she could lose. Her family is not going to keep going through the unbearable pain of Demi relapsing again and again.. I also believe this IS the best path for her. She said going completely sober is a recipe for disaster. It is setting herself up to fail. She has been though way more than 1 person should in a whole lifetime. The wisdom that has came from ALL decisions (made by her and made by others)
