Nice Camping-Tour and it looks like a new Carbon Handlebar on your Ranger 😉 Best Greetings Gino

Good morning, this ride was fun and it was nice to get out before the cold temps are here to stay. Yes you are correct, I came across a set of carbon bars for sale online, had to get them. My Ranger is currently over 2lbs lighter than the Nitro.

Hi Angie, it was a fun trip but way more road traffic than I expected. All safe though....

Cyrusher and Corona - like mine here in germany.
Is the gear ratio of the switch cassette actually enough for you? I'm currently thinking about installing at least an 11-36 cassette. maybe even a size larger.
    Have fun 👍

Hello Captain, yes, not much better than a cold beer after a day of riding!
The only gear change that I've done to the Ranger is to drop the front ring from a 52 to a 46. That change alone made a huge difference in my climbing comfort with the trailer. I have gotten messages from a number of Ranger owners over the past few months ( some in Germany) who say they really liked the performance difference of going from stock gearing to a 10-48 cassette in the rear. I haven't experimented with this gearing yet but plan to shortly...
      Cheers

That is very extreme! I'm currently riding a 44 chainring and 11/36 cassette.
The gear ratio of the highest gear is simply too high for me to drive with a cadence of around 70-80. Even 8th gear is rarely used. However,
I only ride roads and forest paths, not trails.
Around 30 km/h is completely sufficient for me. In level 1 of 9 I can easily cover over 100km.@@breizhfrankiz3333

Hello, yes the 46t front ring and stock rear cluster has been a perfect combination for me. I can still pedal at 30mph and not ghost pedal, but the lower climbing ability is significantly better.
I've seen that Spanish video with the 11-50 and 38 gearing, but that would be too low for me.
A combination of the two would be nice though... 46 up front and a 11-50t for the rear!
      Cheers

Do you prefer the Ranger over the Nitro?

Hello, I love my Ranger ebike. It was a perfect bike for my first ebike purchase, super dependable, fun, good range on the battery, good top speed and enough power to do what I wanted to do with it (ride some of the 14,000 ft mountains here in Colorado).
It is such a good bike (with a few modifications), that it got me hooked. I feel bad for those that aren't so lucky with their first purchase, it can sour you on the whole ebike experience.
The Nitro will in the end be a fun and competent trail bike, but it has electrical / programming issues right now that Bafang is trying to help me figure out. Once the issues are corrected and Cyrusher sends me the air fork they promised was on the bike I think it might be a contender. But, right now the Ranger is by far my favorite.
      Cheers
