Thank you! I learned duplicate stitch for stockinette and garter, but trying to apply that to ribbing was impossible and I was never satisfied with the result. This will certainly be helpful and ease my dislike of making anything with ribbing for others!

I'm currently knitting (for the first time in 30 years) a 2×2 ribbed scalf using acrilic yarn, as this is less 'sticky' than wool how long should my tails be and how much should I weave in?
Great questions, This technique should work great no matter what type of fiber you are using. happy knitting. Have you subscribed to my channel? If not, that is the best way to thank me. Happy knitting.
@@SuzanneBryan ended up dropping a couple of stitches today. Thank goodness I have a set of crochet hooks so I could fix it without ripping it back. Still lifeline going in every few inches just in case.
How would you weave in the ends on a 2x2 ribbed hat where the brim might or might not be folded up? My Aran yarn is so thick, I may have to weave the ends into the right side of the brim??

Great question Carol, try this on a swatch with your yarn. You will find that it is very invisible on both sides of the fabric. Happy Holidays.
Love your videos!
Excellent❤️
Thank you. Did you check out my other weaving in ends videos? I have a playlist for them - ua-cam.com/play/PLLKJ9GuhEEwkCXGeLBnQeat61bjB46zB2.html

You use this exact same method. With the color being the same as the brim, it will be invisible.
Yessss
