You guys are the BEST for giving these unsung DPs the limelight for a change. Honestly. This is so deserved.
thanks for tuning in! We're lucky to have so many insanely talented people willing to share their stories.
Dunno about Unsung considering Natasha Braier excellently shot Neon Demon and The Rover before this but yes.
@@travisshannon8562 Unsung meaning appreciated perhaps within the industry but not household names the way Deakins may be, etc.
Holy shit. They actually got Nathasha Braier on the show. Seems like Deakins might pitch in anytime soon!
next week is Joseph Kahn! Stay tuned for some good stuff coming up soon.
Fantastic DP. Her work on Neon Demon was so overlooked.
Deakins really appreciated her work on honey boy
Natasha's work on this was absolutely unreal. Amazingly beautiful, incredible performances. Loved learning a little bit about the process of a how a DP can create space for amazing acting to happen.
I LOVE her ability to face the challenges of a small set and make the most of it. The fact that she takes the time to automate lighting and work with practicals in a way that are keys, keeping the principals of what’s happening within a scene, whether the parts being played or location of where they are in the scene, and using that to make the most sense of said scene(s) (ie backlighting when backstage), and letting focus and motion almost be imperfect which actually benefits the scene. So good. So human.
Indy Mogul started out as a DIY run and gun show and has evolved into something great! I really love the direction this show has taken. I've learned so much from these videos and I thank you guys for that.
so glad to hear it! Thanks for tuning in man, we've been really lucky to have some amazing artists join us.
She’s so talented. So much respect for her and everyone that made this film.
This video needs so much more views! I absolutely love her solutions to all the challenges that came up - especially that last one. I'm just learning how to control lights through DMX boards, and that level of improv lighting - insanity.
she’s absolutely fantastic
Great video and WOW - Adjusting lights ad hoc during ad hoc camera movements during filming. Humbled is an understatement. :)
right? What insane talent.
Her cinematography for Neon Demon was earth shattering.
It is like having Christmas a week earlier! :)
Thanks Natasha & Ted for the great look behind the scenes and the lighting technics.
The real time adjustable DMX lights and the scene with the moving backdrop right at the beginning of the video just blew my mind. What an inspiration.
thanks for tuning Ludwig! Really glad to hear you liked it
I've always liked Shia as an actor. Can't wait to check this one out! Interesting way to shoot it!
Paul Gall he is a good director I saw a short film he directed and produce , it was awesome.
he's amazing. What an incredible performance and film.
Just watched this for the 3rd time and it is massively useful. Natasha Braier is a real talent.
Natasha Braier is a fav!!
This one is so great for low-to-no budget filmmaking. My main takeout is to push directors and producers harder on getting locations which aren't like the ones they turned down here for the therapist's office scene.
OMG NATASHAAA PLEASE ADOPT ME
get in line!
so so so glad you got her on the show
first three times i watched the trailer i got goosebumps from the cinematography and music. when i finally got the chance to actually see the movie, same thing happened haha
Thank you so much for this. I watched the movie today for the second time, so i was extremely happy to see that you had uploaded this video!!!
I love this channel with all of my strength.
These breakdowns are inspiring. So informative and well paced. Keep ‘em up!!
I love her way of explaining things.
We loved listening to her explain things!

Perrrrrfect! Thank you!
17:14 you know you're a good focus puller when they tell you to do a worse job lol

Wow.... I loved this video so much. SOO much. Thank you so much for posting! Honey Boy is my favorite movie of the year
you bet, thanks for tuning in!

Wow.. I LOVED the look of The Neon Demon, really loved!
I loved Ted, this posts made me really inspired and has a lot good information.

This is the best show on UA-cam
Amazing.

I saw this movie yesterday and really enjoyed it! Was wondering about how it was shot - indy mogul to the rescue!
This was so interesting, clearly explained and, wait, awesome?!

great! super content! thanks!
A fantastic and wonderful insight. Thank you for sharing. Loved hearing about reusing the set and the choreography of the team the most. Would love to know what might not have gone as planned though ;)
The cinematography breakdowns you guys have been doing are excellent! Learning so much from these! Question.. At 14:23 there's mention of a wireless DMX, edison style bulb.. Who makes those?
Nice & Thanks :)
👑
absolutely
I'd very much like to see the film
you absolutely should
Wait this was shot in 21 day🧐wow
Learned so much! Can we get some ACs on here too?
sure thing, who do you want to see on here?
Ted Sim John Connor and Dan Ming!
NATASHA FUCKING BRAIER
Yes.
Artista del carajo, argentina y tan atractiva... El paquete completo
Neon demon could walk so euphoria could run
first one jajajaja
Really interesting guest and generally I love the podcast but please modify your style, it's almost impossible to listen, you asked Natasha her best advice and she said buy property earlier. That's serious proper advice (speaking from experience) and you laughed over her answer and made a joke of it instead of investigating. Try the words: That's interesting, why do you say that? And then just listen. You do this all the time and you do it in a nice way but you need to stop and breathe and listen. Listen to people's stories. For life, for movie making, and for podcasting.
Ah, that’s why it kept losing focus during the whole film.
